Hezbollywood?

“…there was an unexplained 7 to 8 hour gap between the time of the helicopter strike and the building collapse. Brigadier General Amir Eshel, Head of the Air Force Headquarters, in a press briefing, told journalists that “the attack on the structure in the Qana village took place between midnight and one in the morning. The gap between the timing of the collapse of the building and the time of the strike on it is unclear.”

Lebanese rescue teams did not start evacuating the building until the morning and only after the camera crews came. The absence of a real rescue effort was explained by saying that equipment was lacking. There were no scenes of live or injured people being extracted.

“There was little blood, CNN’s Wedeman noted: all the victims, he concluded, appeared to have died while as they were sleeping — sleeping, apparently, through thunderous Israeli air attacks. Rescue workers equipped with cameras were removing the bodies from the same opening in the collapsed structure. Journalists were not allowed near the collapsed building.

“Rescue workers filmed as they went carried the victims on the stretchers, occasionally flipping up the blankets so that cameras could show the faces and bodies of the dead.

“But Israelis steeled to scenes of carnage from Palestinian suicide bombings and Hezbollah rocket attack could not help but notice that these victims did not look like our victims. Their faces were ashen gray. While medical examination clearly is called for to arrive at a definitive dating and cause of their deaths, they do not appear to have died hours before. The bodies looked like they had been dead for days.” [emphasis added mine]

Is Qana news or more Pallywood?

56 people, including dozens of children, allegedly were killed as a result of an Israeli air strike upon a building in Qana. This evening on his radio show, Mark Levin pointed out that Israel has already apologized yet also noted it took between 6 and 8 hours for the building to collapse and no embedded Western reporters were present when the building collapsed. Both FoxNews and YNet reported Hezbollah had missile launchers near that building and showed footage of them firing from there. Could the death of those 56 be just more Islamofascist propaganda?

Before you decide how credible the reporting about Qana is, view Pallywood by clicking on the image below (hat tip to Expose the Left.com)

And why did the “innocent” father in the infamous 2000 shooting of him and his “innocent” son frantically scream “the boy is dead” even before the Israeli Defense Forces allegedly shot either of them? Remember Al Durah, the incident that made the front page of the world’s newspapers? Click here and view this video report (hat tip msunderestimated.com) that you probably did not see on the Big 3, CNN, or MSNBC before judging “their” next “news” reports out of Lebanon.

I want to congratulate the attorneys who work with me at Landmark Legal Foundation for tenaciously pursuing the untold story of the systematic abuse of American MPs by the al-Qaeda terrorists at Guantanamo Bay. It took us a full year to bring this stunning information to light, but the truth is now out. Thanks to Pete Hutchison, Mike O’Neill, Matt Forys, and Eric Christensen.

Wrong Again

Wrong Again
By Mark R. Levin

Did we not learn from Katrina that the Big Media get big stories wrong? As best as I can tell, the U.S. media are repeating most of the information about the bombing of Qana that is being reported by the Arab media, including Hezbollah TV.

I am convinced that the Big Media are not only hostile to Israel’s right to defend itself, just as they are hostile to our efforts in Iraq, but they are incapable of reporting accurately and comprehensively about the war on terrorism. I’ve yet to see any U.S. reporter or cameraman embedded with Hezbollah reporting about their tactics, brutality, and whereabouts, and sending pictures of all of it to the rest of the world. Of course, Hezbollah has no intention of giving them such access. So, as in the case of Qana, they run to the scene of the devastation, provide no context or perspective for what occurred (or de-emphasis it), while repeatedly pointing to Israel as the culprit.

Still unserious about Syria

An interesting commentary by the NRO’s Michael Ledeen:

The first time I saw the Friend Who Has Gone Too Far was in December, 1981… you could feel the earth shifting beneath the feet of the Soviets. It was pretty clear, even then, that if the Kremlin did not find an effective way of breaking Solidarity, the entire structure of the Soviet empire might well crack wide open. And so, late in December as I recall, military rule was declared in Poland, Soviet military forces were moved to the borders, and Solidarity leaders were rounded up and arrested.

Shortly afterwards, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, Charles Percy, was on one of the Sunday talk shows, and had a blood-chilling exchange with a journalist. Solidarity went too far, didn’t they, Senator? And Percy nodded gravely and agreed. Yes, he said, they just went too far.

This was back in the days when I watched television news and talk shows, and I threw something at the screen, disgusted that an American leader would condemn brave workers for the sin of openly challenging the evils of Communism. The nerve of the man! Solidarity was our ally, we were supposed to support them, and instead here was this lout of a Senator condemning them, for what? For loving freedom too much.

Israel is getting the same treatment these days…

Detainee Abuse Charges Feared Shield Sought From ‘96 War Crimes Act

By R. Jeffrey Smith
Washington Post Staff Writer
Friday, July 28, 2006

An obscure law approved by a Republican-controlled Congress a decade ago has made the Bush administration nervous that officials and troops involved in handling detainee matters might be accused of committing war crimes, and prosecuted at some point in U.S. courts.

Senior officials have responded by drafting legislation that would grant U.S. personnel involved in the terrorism fight new protections against prosecution for past violations of the War Crimes Act of 1996. That law criminalizes violations of the Geneva Conventions governing conduct in war and threatens the death penalty if U.S.-held detainees die in custody from abusive treatment.

There will be no wider war in the Middle East, unless we decide to take out the regimes in Iran and Syria (a wider war I support). Jordan won’t fight. Saudi Arabia won’t fight. And the strongest of the Arab states, Egypt, won’t fight. Here’s Mubarak.

I believe Israel is doing a far better job systematically driving out Hezbollah that many think. Hence, the Axis of Genocide (including Hezbollah and Iran) joined by the Axis of Appeasement (including the U.N. and EU) are demanding an immediate cease-fire. Meanwhile, Israel presses on — street by street, launch pad by launch pad, tunnel by tunnel.

Dean embraced terrorists when BJ was Prez

Howard Dean didn’t just not win in Iowa, he placed third and promptly decided to make common cause with Yassir Arafat(?!). Note that in the color-coded world of Palestinian terrorism, the black and white kaffiya (that scarf around Dean’s neck) signifies allegience to Al Fatah and Yassir Arafat.

As the Great One pointed out, Howard Dean did not speak out against former President Clinton’s many meetings with Yassir Arafat. And then there is this:

In a 1998 television interview, Dean conceded the radical Islamic Palestinian group known as Hamas is “a terrorist organization.” But he added that he believed that the rise of Hamas to power in the West Bank and Gaza after Yasser Arafat leaves the scene could be a “good” thing.

Here’s how MSNBC.com reported the story: “In another January 1998 episode, he [Dean] also speculated that there ‘will probably be good and bad’ if Hamas takes control over the Palestinian leadership. Yasser Arafat, he said, ‘is going to leave the scene….When that happens, I think Hamas will probably take over. There will probably be good and bad out of that. The bad, of course, is that Hamas is a terrorist organization. However, if they have to run a quasi-state they may actually have to be more responsible and start negotiations. So who knows what will happen.’”

So much for Dr. Dean’s lectures about negotiating with terrorists and others not denouncing them.

Since day one, Tony Snow has shown why he was a great choice for White House Press Secretary. His knowledge of President Bush’s policies and thinking on issues, command of the facts, and willingness to apply the appropriate emphasis in answer to the White House Press Corps’ questions is nothing short of brilliant. He demonstrated this again, today, in a White House press briefing. Here is my favorite excerpt:

Waging War

Waging War
By Mark R. Levin

So perverse has the New York Times editorial page become, it is waging all out war on presidential powers . (Hat tip: K-Lo). Its impulse in every instance is to defend the enemy. And there’s a reason for this. One of its invisible writers on legal matters, Adam Cohen, learned his worldview at the Southern Poverty Law Center; and another, Dorothy Samuels, spent her time at the New York Civil Liberties Union (an affiliate of the ACLU) before joining the editorial board. Another editorial page writer, Carolyn Curiel, served as special assistant to the president and senior presidential speechwriter in President Clinton’s first term. See here .

And, of course, the New York Times’s news pages are full revelations of U.S. secrets, which have the purpose of weakening our security and enhancing the enemy’s planning.

There’s something very sick about all of this. But one thing is for sure: the Times is not the paper of record, unless you’re looking for a record of radical opposition to constitutional government and national self-defense.

Wrong Message

Wrong Message
By Mark R. Levin

What follows is another propaganda screed from the self-labeled “largest Muslim civil liberties group” in America – which is to be dismissed as a mouthpiece for radical Islam. But notice – not one word condemning Hamas or Hezbollah; not one word identifying them as terrorist groups; not one word about the kidnapping and killing of Israeli soldiers, which provoked the war; not one word about the Iranian and Syrian police states funding and directing terrorist attacks; and so forth.

But they demand that Israel stop defending itself, which defense includes wiping out the terrorist who attack her from Gaza and southern Lebanon; and they demand that our State Department warn U.S. citizens in the Israeli army that if they don’t go AWOL, they risk violating the Neutrality Act.

If this is how the “largest Muslim civil liberties group” in America reacts – whose mission includes “enhancing the understating of Islam” — then the Muslim community in our country needs a new voice. CAIR is a propaganda tool for the radicals.

Bad Week for the Presidency & Constitution

Bad Week for the Presidency & Constitution
By Mark R. Levin

I must reluctantly congratulate the New York Times. Its illegal disclosure of the NSA intercept program has apparently had the intended result. Within a day of the administration’s announcement that it would abruptly reverse course and apply the Geneva Conventions to unlawful enemy combatants (that is, al-Qaeda terrorists), wrongly pointing to the Hamdan decision for justification, now it has reversed course on the extent of presidential authority re intercepting enemy communications. Here.

Some will try to spin this as no retreat, or not a complete retreat, or an inevitable outcome, or whatever. I choose not to do so. It’s pretty bad. Who would have thought that 9/11 would arguably result in a greater weakening of executive power than Watergate? Oh, and a special thanks to Arlen Specter, too. He has been working overtime to gut the commander-in-chief’s authority to defend the country.

Plame

Plame
By Mark R. Levin

So, Valerie Plame is suing the vice president and Lewis Libby. Yes, it will be a distraction to the vice president, but it will also be a great opportunity for Cheney and Libby’s lawyers to pursue aggressively discovery. Plame, and her detestable husband Joe Wilson, may well have blundered. To the extent possible, through depositions and document production, Cheney and Lewis’s lawyers should get to the bottom of the real scandal, e.g., who exactly is Valerie Plame, what was her role in sending her husband to Niger, who were all of her contacts, what media sources did she speak to, what politicians did she speak to, and on and on. And the same with her husband.

Again with Israel

Again with Israel
By Mark R. Levin

Russian and France are slamming Israel today. That’s right, it’s Israel’s fault that Iranian and Syrian terrorists — who call themselves Hezbollah and Hamas — committed acts of war against it, and that Israel is finally defending itself. Russia has been so helpful in our own war efforts, opposing us om the UN Security Council, playing a significant corrupt role in the so-called Oil for Food program, helping to arm the Iranians with nuclear technology, and obstructing our efforts to impose sanctions on North Korea. France, of course, is a decaying country which can’t control rampaging Muslim immigrants in its own suburbs.

Our president today reiterated that Israel has the right to defend itself, but he added a call for “restraint.” What to make of this? What does that mean? The problem has been that both Israel and the United States have shown far too much restraint. These are the same terrorist states that have been arming al-Qaeda with IEDs to kill our soldiers in Iraq. These are the same terrorist states that have been safe harbor to al-Qaeda thugs, and allow the enemy to cross their borders to attack U.S. and Iraqi forces. What’s with this “restraint” stuff? (more…)

Yesterday India, today Israel, and tomorrow us again… If the liberals win the day.

There is no two-state solution!

Mark takes a call from a liberal, probably wearing a tin foil hat.

And now for a Great American, notice the difference between the two

HE NEVER GIVES THE LIBERALS A CHANCE TO SPEAK! This call is to show you libs that if you can be civil, form complete sentences, and dial a telephone, Mark will actually have a conversation with you.

Palestinians should be thanking God that Harry Truman isn’t the Prime Minister of Israel

Mark talks about the disgraceful tactics of the DemocRAT Congressional Campaign Committee. As shown in the preceeding post, they are using pictures of the flag draped coffins of our military for fundraising purposes.

Libs are hypocrites when it comes to flag-draping

My wife lost her brother, a FDNY firefighter, in the South Tower, on 9/11.

Do you remember, back in 2004, President Bush was trashed by just about every lib and many 9/11 family members for using a brief glimpse of a flag-drapped victim being brought out from Ground Zero in a campaign commerical? Of course you do. Yet now some of the same liberals from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee are using the flag-drapped coffins of our troops in an online commerical. Click on the image below and see for yourself:

flag drapped coffins in DCCC commerical.jpg

It is sheer hypocrisy for the same people who decried Bush’s campaign commerical to now remain silent while the DCCC uses similar video. Whether you are offended by the video or not, you ought to at least be denouncing the hypocrites who are using it.

Two-State Mistake

Two-State Mistake
By Mark R. Levin

I think all serious people can now agree that the so-called “two-state solution,” in which Israel cedes territory to the Palestinians in supposed exchange for peace in our time, was never a solution. I’ve written about this in the past. Here, here, here, here, and elsewhere.

Starting with Jimmy Carter and with varying degrees of pressure, U.S. policy under every president has urged the two-state solution on Israel, which eventually embraced it — until today (I hope). If country X agrees to the creation of country Y on its border, but new country Y refuses to accept the existence of country X, there can be no two-state solution. The Palestinian leadership is a who’s who of terrorists (with rare exceptions). Israel ceded the Gaza area to it, and it immediately became a launching base for attacks against Israel’s civilians and military. Hezbollah has intensified its attacks from Lebanon. And Israel now has to amass its forces for yet another war.

The Palestinian leadership is answerable to Iran and Syria. (Attention State Department: They don’t want peace.) The only two-state solution that will work is the dissolution of these two terrorist states.

Cowboy Diplomacy

Cowboy Diplomacy
By Mark R. Levin

This is the title Time gives to President Bush’s foreign policy, which the magazine disparages as a failure resulting from the president’s adherence to his own ideals and vision. But if this is “Cowboy Diplomacy,” then I suppose Bill Keller at the New York Times is a “Cowboy Journalist” inasmuch as he rejected all entreaties against him splashing our national security secrets on the front page of his newspaper. I suppose John McCain is a “Cowboy Senator” for repeatedly spurning his Republican colleagues. And I suppose Patrick Fitzgerald is a “Cowboy Prosecutor” for throwing the book at caste-off issues.

Unnecessarily Bad News

Unnecessarily Bad News
By Mark R. Levin

As I feared, the administration did itself and the country no favors by announcing it was applying the Geneva Conventions to terrorists in supposed accordance with the Supreme Court’s Hamdan decision. The New York Times news and editorial pages have conducted themselves shamelessly throughout this war — campaigning for the weakening of the president’s commander-in-chief powers during war and publishing some of our nation’s most important war secrets. They’ve been deceitful. They’ve been gratuitous. And it has now seized on the administration’s announcement to demand even further capitulations.

Today the Times editorializes, in part: “The administration has professed its allegiance to the humane treatment of prisoners and to the rule of law before. But repairing the constitutional balance of powers and America’s profoundly damaged global image demand more than lip service.” More here.

Short of Bush’s impeachment, the immediate “redeployment” of our troops to the continental United States, and the executive’s voluntary surrender of presidential powers to activist judges and left-wing lawyers, the Times and its ilk won’t rest. But, of course, they support our troops, are strong on national security, believe in separation of powers, and are patriotic. Just ask them.

Of course, the Times’ editorial board consists of a former ACLU member, a former Clinton administration official, and other leading lights. Need I say more? You bet. In future posts. This is the same media corporation that undermined the war in Vietnam and pushed the Holocaust to the back pages. It has a pathetic record, yet lectures the rest of us about right and wrong. The Times doesn’t seek to merely report the news or comment on it, it seeks to influence our nation’s future. As such, it requires careful monitoring by we, the people.

UPDATE: On other sites, the contributors to which I respect greatly, an effort is made to downplay what the administration did yesterday in tying the humane treatment of detainees to the Gemeva Convetions and then insisting that the Supreme Court compelled this result in its Hamdan decision. This is inaccurate. Yes, the administration announced early on that it would treat detainees humanely, but it specifically rejected the view that such treatment was necessitated by the Geneva Conventions. But yesterday it announced that it would comply with the Geneva Conventions requirement to treat the enemy humanely, as supposedly ordered by the Court. While it may be logical to extent the Hamdan reach to detainee treatment generally, the decision dealt with military commissions and there is no such legal requirement — at least not yet. And the administration did not have to go as far as it did, giving up a principled argument that matters greatly. For years it has fought the good fight against the enemy’s lawyers and activist judges, and it should continue to do so every step of the way.

What Are the Rules of Law?

What Are the Rules of Law?
By Mark R. Levin

What the courts, Congress and, alas, the administration have now done by applying the Geneva Conventions protections to unlawful enemy combatants is to ensure that more and more warfare will involve terrorism since the rules of prisoner treatment apply to everybody, regardless of their behavior — which means there are no rules of war. The result will be more horrific attacks on citizens, more wanton slaughter, and more terrorism. Like anything else — if you reward certain behavior, you get more of it. We are now rewarding terrorism by extending lawful protections to its practitioners.

Bad Combination

Bad Combination
By Mark R. Levin

So, we’ve had a coordinated terrorist attack against the Indian people today, with the death toll nearing 200. We had a coordinated terrorist attack against us on 9/11. There have been coordinated terrorist attacks in Israel, Bali, Turkey, Spain, Britain, Russia, Somalia, the Phillipines, and the list goes on. And five Supreme Court justices, led by John Paul Stevens and abetted by the likes of Anthony Kennedy, concluded in the Hamdan decision that Common Article 3 of the Geneva Conventions confers special rights on al-Qaeda terrorists (as if they’re lawful prisoners of war) because this is an armed conflict not of an international character. Shame on these justices.

Commander-in-Chief Kennedy?

Commander-in-Chief Kennedy?
By Mark R. Levin

Hat-tip to K-Lo in The Corner for alerting us to this stunning development as reported by AP:

White House: Detainees entitled to Geneva Convention protections.
Lawmakers to draft legislation in response to high court decision

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Bush administration said Tuesday that all detainees held at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and in all other U.S. military custody around the world are entitled to protections under the Geneva Conventions.

White House spokesman Tony Snow said the policy, outlined in a new Defense Department memo, reflects the recent 5-3 Supreme Court decision blocking military tribunals set up by President Bush.

The policy, described in a memo by Deputy Defense Secretary Gordon England, appears to reverse the administration’s earlier insistence that the detainees are not prisoners of war and thus subject to the Geneva protections.

Word of the Bush administration’s new stance came as the Senate Judiciary Committee opened hearings Tuesday on the Guantanamo issue — which is testing unity among Republicans on Capitol Hill, with lawmakers trying to decide in an election season how military detainees should be tried and what their rights should be.

Snow insisted that all U.S. detainees have been treated humanely. Still, he said, “We want to get it right.”

“It’s not really a reversal of policy,” Snow asserted, calling the Supreme Court decision “complex.”

More here.

So, who is running our foreign and military policy now? Justice Anthony Kennedy? He’s no more fit for that task than Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, or any other former law review student who happened to hit the lottery to become a Supreme Court justice. As awful as the Hamdan decision is, it does not require the president to surrender so completely to the demands of a judicial oligarchy and the hard-left lawyers who prod it. Yes, the president was ordered to work with Congress to develop a tribunal system for detainees that meets the requirements of the Supreme Court, whatever those are. But Hamdan does not, by itself, eliminate the all-important distinction between regular prisoners of war and unlawful enemy combatants – and distinction which is central to protections afforded under the Geneva Conventions.

Who could have imagined that after 9/11, after the beheading of American citizens in Iraq, after the torture and disfigurement of our soldiers, after the discovery of additional al-Qaeda plots to attack our country, all three branches of our federal government would change the status of the enemy from illegal to legal for the purpose of conferring rights on it? This is astounding! In fact, it’s disgusting.

The Andrew Sullivan Award Winner for Torture and Memory Loss: Andrew Sullivan

The Andrew Sullivan Award Winner for Torture and Memory Loss: Andrew Sullivan

By Mark R. Levin

The other day I conferred on Andrew Sullivan “The Andrew Sullivan Award Winner for Torture: Andrew Sullivan.” I wrote: “Andrew Sullivan considers himself an opponent of torture. But he’s not. He’s against the war in Iraq, which has ended a great deal of state-sponsored torture, not to mention state-sponsored rape, state-sponsored executions, and all the other inhumanity unleashed by maniacs like Saddam Hussein.”

I was deeply insulted today when alerted that Sullivan rejected his own award, claiming he was actually for the war. Here’s what he said.

Yet, in an earlier post, Sullivan wrote, in part: “If I had been informed in early 2003 that the liberation of Iraq would be conducted outside the Geneva Conventions, I could not have supported what would have been an unjust war in its execution. Period.”

If you believe that America is a greater threat to humanity when liberating 25 million Iraqis than the continuing existence of Saddan Hussein’s police state, then you support torture. I hope Sullivan will accept my new award otherwise I guess I’ll just have to keep issuing them.

IREY TO MURTHA: HAVE YOU NO DECENCY, SIR?

“For those who may not have seen Jack Murtha’s comments, here is what he is reported to have said in yesterday’s newspaper:

“Murtha said he is concerned about Irey’s motivation for running against him, considering her husband, Robert, is CEO of a Canonsburg-based firm that secured a $300 million contract with the Iraqi government two years ago.

“‘I worry about that,’ he said. ‘If they’re benefiting from this war, and if this is the reason she’s in this, it really bothers me. I don’t like that.’”

“…for the record: other than one $10,000 down payment, their firm never collected a dime from that contract. In fact, the Iraqi Government still owes that firm $1.6 million for work completed but for which they have yet to receive payment.

“Further, neither my husband nor I have any financial stake in any ongoing enterprise related to the war – as one can tell just by looking at the Financial Disclosure Form I filed when I became a candidate. That form is on record in the Office of the Clerk of the House of Representatives, just a few hundred yards from Jack Murtha’s office in the Rayburn Building.” READ THE REST

We’re doing our very best to defend this nation. The libs aren’t.

A terrorist plot to attack this country has been foiled. Their electronic communications were intercepted. Will the libs complain that their rights were violated?

What happens when you are a lib who believes in defending this nation? Ask Sen. Joseph Lieberman!

Dave in Tampa wants to know… Who is this Levin guy? Who is F Lee Levin? And who is The Great One?

Regular Americans LOVE our military. Two more stories that warm my heart.

More news on Kim Jong “faulty dong” Il. Looks like the nutcase pointed that missile near Hawaii.

Jim from D.C. calls in. A former military NCO who worked for Generalissimo Wesley Clark doesn’t think very much of him.

Our man MARTY calls in. What a guy! We love you man!

Bill from Annapolis calls in to criticise Mark about his comments on Wesley Clark.

Mark continues with the history of Wesley Clark.

Our friend Gregg Garvey calls in and proposes to place a memorial in Casey Sheehan’s home town. Gregg lost his son Justin to the war in Iraq and has formed a group to memorialize those who have given the Supreme Sacrifice. Lest They Be Forgotten.

Bill, a Navy Vet from upstate NY calls in to defend Mark’s right to speak on matters of war.

Becky from NJ calls in. Her Husband is serving in Iraq and she gives us an update five minutes after speaking with her husband by telephone!

Mark closes out the week thanking those at Disney who helped make his week “A Great One!” Mark also gives us an update on the GA voter ID court case, and The Dumbest Man in the Senate weasles out of the bigoted comments he made.

Mark starts the second segment with a great audio montage and then comments about the wonderful time he is having at Disney/MGM.

LEVIN TO LIBS… KEN LAY IS DEAD. But rest assured, the government will still get their cut.

Dave from Port Jeff L.I. calls in with a story that warms my heart. Iraq vets returning home to NYC are given the warmest of welcomes by the NYPD and FDNY.

Former GA Governor asks state court to block voter I.D. law.

Tim Sumner, a contributor here at MLF, brings attention to a WSJ editorial concerning failed negotiations between the Clinton State Dep’t. and North Korea in 2000.

Gay Marriage and the courts. The good, the bad, and Dr. Demento Dean. Mark gives commentary and an incredible analysis on the court decisions surrounding the issue.

Kevin Martin from Project 21 calls in to discuss the latest bigoted comments that were made by a democrat that will be totally ignored by the MSM; and Kim Jong with his faulty dong Il.

Our friend Don from Lake Ronkonkoma reminds us about bigoted remarks that were made by “Her Thighness” Hillary Rotten Clinton that were also ignored by the MSM.

Mark comments on the democrat primary in the State of Connecticut where Sen. Joe Lieberman is being challenged by “Malcolm in the middle” look-alike, Greenwich millionaire Ned Lamont. Lieberman, who has supported the Iraq war effort has been thrown “in front of the bus” by his democrat cohorts including Hillary Rotten and John Heinz-Kerry.

Rush to Ruin

Rush to Ruin
By Mark R. Levin

I know it’s a slow news day, but I wouldn’t want the lib media and their friends to miss this important AP story.

Remember all those media stories, based on a leak probably from the Customs Service, speculating about how Rush may have violated his deal with the State Attorney’s Office (”SAO”) in Palm Beach, how he might be headed for prison, and so forth? Remember some of the phony legal experts speculating about how it was a crime to receive prescriptions under a third party’s name? Well, Rush did nothing wrong, it is not a crime to maintain one’s privacy in this way, and the media frenzy was nothing more than another failed attempt to embarrass and ruin Rush.

As the spokesman for the SAO announced today: “It is generally not illegal under Florida law for a physician to prescribe medication in a third party’s name if all parties are aware and the doctor documents it correctly …”

Apparently the media have erectile problems of their own when it comes to reporting a straight story about Rush.

How badly did the NY Slimes damage on going intel ops? Listen to this!

The Cape Cod Orca once again shows his arrogance and hypocrisy while questioning the morals of another nominee to the Federal Bench.

General Levin gives us an update on the Iraq war.

Another left wing “Nutty Professor” is touring the lecture circuit with wacko conspiracy theories on 9/11.

I would like to draw your attention to the Popular Mechanics website, which in its March 2005 issue dealt with all of the conspiracy theories quite handily.

Melted” Steel
CLAIM: “We have been lied to,” announces the Web site AttackOnAmerica.net. “The first lie was that the load of fuel from the aircraft was the cause of structural failure. No kerosene fire can burn hot enough to melt steel.” The posting is entitled “Proof Of Controlled Demolition At The WTC.”

FACT: Jet fuel burns at 800° to 1500°F, not hot enough to melt steel (2750°F). However, experts agree that for the towers to collapse, their steel frames didn’t need to melt, they just had to lose some of their structural strength–and that required exposure to much less heat. “I have never seen melted steel in a building fire,” says retired New York deputy fire chief Vincent Dunn, author of The Collapse Of Burning Buildings: A Guide To Fireground Safety. “But I’ve seen a lot of twisted, warped, bent and sagging steel. What happens is that the steel tries to expand at both ends, but when it can no longer expand, it sags and the surrounding concrete cracks.” (more…)
