Hello all,

My first post here and I am hoping that someone can help me understand something.

This morning I got in the elevator at my office and a lady got on behind me. I said a freindly "good morning" to her and she looked at me and said in a grouchy voice "I am just going to say hello...I cannot say good morning until the day of impeachment...its not a good morning and it has not been in quite some time." Whoa! So sorry I said anything, I thought to myself.

Needless to say I was a bit stunned and confused by that comment. I do not know that woman but appearently she works on a floor in the building. I wanted to confront her with her statement but by the time I could say anything we had arrived on the floor she works on and she got off the elevator.

With that said, what meaning would you get from that statement? Does she mean impeachment of the President of the United States?

If this is the case, I am so sick and tired of people mouthing off about our great President, this great country, and about how the war has been a failure. These liberals just do not have a clue.

What a way to start the day.

Welcome to the forum, MauiMan. Ignore these libs at work because their own rage will destroy him. What is important is that you do not allow them to hurt your career. I've said it before, debating the liberals is a waste of time. It is better to advocate conservatism by articulating our principles and leading by example. Just make sure it is done in an appropriate setting.

I often have to be kind to liberals in the face of stupid comments. I have become the master at this, I give them a smile and they never know I think of ringing their necks. Like Homer does to Bart Simpson lol.

I think at times laughter is appropriate, not just laughter, but loud guffawing where perhaps snot might get ejected out of one's nose, perhaps ending in a fit of coughing and knee slapping, then perhaps doubling over and loudly proclaiming that was the funniest thing you'd heard since Kerry's Christmas in Cambodia story and if she doesn't stop with the silly jokes you'll pee your pants!

Im sorry to hear about your bad morning. A couple thing to remember. She is a lost cause. Dont debate with her. I would have rolled with a simple "F off B" with a huge smile on my face. As I Sung the Pledge. You would have walked off the elevator laughing, she woule be crying.....LOL



How can people hate so much?

How can someone say goodmorning, and get that stuff back. ( she has metal problems) I think it is called BDS

Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS) is a political term coined by the American political columnist Charles Krauthammer, a former psychiatrist. The term is meant to describe opponents of George W. Bush and his administration. In addition to newspaper editorials, it has been used in talk radio, FOX News, and the right-wing Blogosphere.

Krauthammer has defined BDS as "the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency -- nay -- the very existence of George W. Bush". The implication is that much of the attacks on the President and his policies are a result of personal emotions, rather than real policy differences. A person afflicted with the "condition" is said to reflexively oppose any policy or position held by Bush, and generally sees Bush as one of, if not, the biggest threats.

The term has been derided as an inherently partisan coinage and a classic ad hominem attack, since it may imply that criticism of the President is illegitimate and a symptom of mental disorder. Commentator/blogger Andrew Sullivan has reversed the intended meaning, suggesting that the real derangement is in the minds of Bush's supporters. [1]
