I have not yet read his previous books, but when I heard about his assessment of the Platonic concept of the Perfect State, I could not wait to buy Ameritopia. After many years of research, I published two books, examining the Platonic roots of Western civilization. I believe that they are very much in sync with Mark’s work. It would be unseemly to promote them here, but I’ll send them to Mark directly. Let him be the judge.

I know a book is not a blog, but you are welcome to promote it there. :D
I am NOT Mark Levin. I am MLF. That's short for 'Mark Levin Fan'. I'm a fan of Mark and the Admin on this site. I also OWN this site. I pay for it by myself and don't accept any donations. I moderate this forum by myself the way I want.

Thank you mlf. I posted the links in the "Shameless Blog Promotion" section. Of course, I want people to read my books, but at the moment, especially in the coming months before the election, people should not only should read Ameritopia, but they should study it. Mark wanted to write a short book, but it’s a huge subject; and naturally, it is compressed. People should discuss it part by part, as we do a textbook in school. Only then can we see the relevance of Plato’s totalitarian statism to our present predicament. Ameritopia is the bureaucratization of the United States. Everything is regulated, taxed, and licensed. Can you imagine the price we are paying for this? No wonder the life of the “little guy” is harder and harder. During the ages, the “necessity” of Utopia became a fixed idea of the intellectual elite. The “well organized,” artificially planned society is propping up its ugly head over and over again, and it is always causing poverty and mayhem. As they say, trying the same thing over and over again and hoping for a different outcome is idiocy. We cannot but fail, and as always, the common people will suffer most.

Still reading Ameritopia-about 3/4 finished but then I am one of those strange people who reads several books at once, depending on mood. Having read Liberty and Tyranny, this book is THE companion to it; both should be read in that order. As to Plato, he apparently did not grasp the fact that man is capable of the highest good but just as capable of unspeakable evil, be he a street bum or a leader of a nation. The founders of this nation believed in a power greater than themselves. This outfit currently in charge , all of them, believe themselves to be all-powerful. I pray that we can get them voted out before they have completely destroyed this great nation. On a lighter, unrelated note, Pelosi on Drudge today...that last stretch does not look as though it held up too well...glad I chose to age gracefully.
