Mark Levin talked tonight about reports of cuts to both combat pay for our troops and defense spending:

“Trillions in dollars in debt. Every miscreant and malcontent is subsidized.

“We’re [the Obama administration with taxpayer monies] looking for ways to subsidize home owners. We’re looking for ways to subsidize student loans. We’re looking for way to subsidize this, that, and the other thing, but men and women in uniform, we’re going to put the squeeze on them.”

Jon Huntsman: Placeholder

It comes as no surprise that Jon Huntsman has suspended his campaign for presidency. After garnering two whole delegates in NH, reviewing the polls in SC and beyond, he wisely opted to pull the plug. Those of us out in the real world (i.e. outside the Beltway) saw this guy as a pretender early on.

Pretender isn’t exactly the right word…placeholder or tool might be more appropriate. Why? Numerous reasons. As a former member of President Obama’s diplomatic core to our largest trading partner, you wonder where Huntsman’s loyalties lie. He was promoted heavily by the inside the Beltway types, which reeks of ‘inside job – inside promotion’. He was indistinguishable from Mitt Romney, period. It also makes you wonder how NH voters could choose Huntsman – unless it was an anti-Romney moderate vote. Doubtful though, given that 51% of his voters are satisfied with Obama. My gut says it is the start of anti-Romney, designed in ‘DChicago’ movement…which I’m probably way early on. Rush Limbaugh mentioned Geraldo heralding the imminent demise of Huntsman Sunday evening. You would only have to hear Geraldo today on his WABC radio program to understand where this was all put together. I can almost hear the trap snapping shut as voters are herded in the direction of Romney…and then…wait for it…the OWS movement hits it’s stride in an anti-corporatist, anti-capitalist frenzy later this year.

Huntsman was put in to pull the race to the left, directing people and then releasing delegates to the establishment Romney. All the faux conservative pundits will now spew their ‘well, now it is all Romney’ and ‘coalesce behind Romney’ talking points over the next five days leading up to the SC vote. I hope South Carolinian’s realize they are being played for fools by forces far larger than just the GOP establishment. Take a look at the delegate count and get behind the guy who is the true anti-establishment candidate, Rick Santorum.

Obama is the most anti-Israel president since that nation’s founding.

Obama is the most anti-Israel president since that nation’s founding. That is not the Bush Doctrine. Moreover, what is going on in the Arab states is not the Bush Doctrine unless riots followed by radical Islamic regimes defines the Bush Doctrine. These analogies are sloppy and more, inaccurate.

This is way off the mark. Why does all of this have to be discussed in the context of the Bush Doctrine, of Obama stealing from Bush, etc. etc., particularly when it is something else, and worse?

Think about the massive ego and the beyond belief insensitivity it takes to create this policy and stage this event. One look at the picture of a scowling Bibi standing next to BHO on Drudge and it is clear that this whole event was meant to encourage the uprising of the Arab street. And, a quick look at the leading comments on a NYT article linked on Drudge makes me wonder what is going on. Look where most of the posters are from…outside of NY, specifically outside of NYC, NY. Debra Burlingame: Obama’s bin Laden burial and photo decision ‘playing right into’ enemy’s hand

Debra Burlingame, the sister of pilot Charles “Chic” Burlingame III whose plane was hijacked and flown into the Pentagon on 9/11, discussed with Neil Cavuto today President Barack Obama’s decision to not release Osama bin Laden’s death photos and to give him a respectful sea burial:

“Everything is being done to make [Obama] look like the great leader when in fact they can’t even handle the presentation of the factual situation, after the event. They’ve been screwing up the whole photo thing for the past 48 hours. The reason the mission went perfectly was because of the United States military, was because of the Central Intelligence Agency, and all those working with them and for them, not because of these goofballs in the White House who are still denying that enhanced interrogations — especially waterboarding — brought us to this point.”

Obama has stated that al Qaeda’s ideology is “a perversion of Islam,” bin Laden “murdered Muslims on September 11,” and the latter “was not a Muslim leader.” Why give a perverted, mass-murdering, non-Muslim a religious ceremony in line with Muslim tradition?

Nothing has been found of 1,125 of those slaughtered on 9/11; their families had no body to respectfully prepare, to pray over, or to properly lay to rest. My wife lost her brother that day. I would have bagged bin Laden up, weighed him down, and tossed him over the side with the garbage.

Governor Sarah Palin: Troops and Budgets

During the Friday budget fracas, Governor Sarah Palin weighed in with a very well recieved facebook article and numerous tweets. The facebook article is just below 20,000 likes as of this moment…meaning she tapped into something that many people agree with.

Yesterday the House passed H.R. 1363, which funds our Department of Defense and our military for the rest of the year at their current levels. It allows for the continuation of current military operations, which is pretty important when you’re fighting three wars. It also funds the government for another week and cuts $12 billion in wasteful spending. So why would the Commander in Chief declare that he will veto this? Why would he play politics at the expense of our troops who are putting everything on the line to protect us? Memo to the President: I doubt the insurgents will stop and wait for a government shutdown to end before resuming actions. You need to fund our troops, sir.
Like me, you might be asking yourself: Why on earth would he threaten to veto funding for the troops? What is his game plan? Basically, he’ll veto military funding because he wants the rest of the government funded too. And by the rest of the government, he means things like Harry Reid’s “Cowboy Poetry.” Essentially, he’s holding military funding hostage to NPR funding. This is a perfect analogy for what is wrong with this entire budget showdown. Our federal government has strayed so far from what is constitutionally mandated that they are blind to the fact that NPR funding is not a constitutional duty. Funding our military at a time of war is!

The House GOP does not want a shut down. They just want legitimate cuts (and I would argue not even enough!). If we can’t agree to cut a billion here and a billion there, we’ll never close this $1.5 trillion deficit.

Let’s look at the numbers. We have a $1.5 trillion deficit this year. We’re paying $200 billion a year on our interest alone. That’s half a billion dollars per day on interest. And our $1.5 trillion deficit means that we’re borrowing $4 billion per day just to keep afloat. So, we pat ourselves on the back if we cut a billion dollars here or a billion there in discretionary spending, as we borrow $4 billion a day and pay half a billion a day in interest. The deficit for the month of February alone was the highest in our history at $223 billion. That’s more than the entire deficit for the year 2007. And there’s no end in sight. We’re not heading towards the iceberg. We’ve already hit it. Now we’re taking on water. We must find a way to get back to harbor to repair our ship of state before it’s too late.

Where is President Obama in all of this? He just doesn’t get it. His 2012 budget was a signal of that. The President’s proposed budget offered higher taxes and higher spending. A budget is supposed to be more than just numbers crunched on a spreadsheet. It’s supposed to be a credible blueprint of a nation’s priorities and direction. The President’s budget was a political document. It was designed not to ruffle any feathers or take any decisive moves to deal with the deficit problem. Instead of cutting spending, he’s moving us in the opposite direction. The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office reported that the White House was not telling the truth when they claimed that their 2012 budget reduces the deficit. It actually increases it. Instead of dealing with the hard realities we face, he just kicked the can down the road. That’s not leadership. That’s politics.

Real leadership means leading by example. It means showing an “all-in” commitment to tackling complex issues and putting in the time and effort to educate the American public. Right now the American people have not been educated about this major challenge we face. Keep in mind that perception often becomes reality, and the perception President Obama has repeatedly given off is that he can’t be bothered to deal with our debt crisis.

This is profoundly unfair to the American people. Throughout our history, we have proven again and again that we are strong enough and wise enough to do the right thing when we are properly informed. We can judge and make the tough choices when we are not spun by the media or the financial class or the political class. We the People can decide – if our leaders level with us honestly.

It’s about time the President step up to the plate and lead responsibly. Our troops who are putting themselves in harm’s way deserve a Commander in Chief who is not AWOL from the debt debate. The American people deserve a president who will take on the tough challenges and understand that funding “Car Talk” is not as crucial as funding our troops at a time of three wars.

2008 seems like such a long time ago, but 2012 is just around the corner. There is a leadership vacuum in the White House right now, but that’s nothing that another good old-fashioned election can’t fix.

Meanwhile, President Obama is not at all curious about the billions in foreign money that funds Islamists in America who work to undermine our Republic.

Mark Levin responds to Obama’s Iftar dinner Ground Zero mosque remarks

Mark Levin played a clip from President Obama’s Iftar dinner remarks concerning the mosque planned for Ground Zero and responded:

“Let’s stop pretending that this country is anything but tolerant of everybody. The problem is that this imam has intentionally chosen a location for his mosque, funded by God knows whom, that he knew and knows creates controversy and is a provocation.”

After last year’s disgusting comparisons between Abraham Lincoln and Barack Hussein Obama, Obama has found that his false prophet status has come full circle.

He can’t even say emancipation! Think of it! Lincoln’s act of acknowledging freedom for all is word Obama cannot even articulate.

Bachmann: Obama raising taxes ‘was always the plan’

The United States should consider raising taxes to help bring deficits under control and may need to consider a European-style value-added tax, White House adviser Paul Volcker said on Tuesday.

Mark Levin and Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann discussed Paul Volcker’s statement and tomorrow’s big rally at 2 PM Central Time (you can watch it live at that link).

Post-9/11, the media berated President George W. Bush as unemployment rose to above 6 percent. His 2003 tax cuts improved the economy, despite the costs of fighting two wars, yet unchecked existing entitlement programs and additional government spending increased the deficit so the media pounded on him for that.

Under Obama, unemployment is double what it was four years ago, he is spending like a drunken sailor, the deficit is spiraling out of control, and the mainstream media is still hooked on hope and change.
