Liberals defend “Constitutional Rights” by means of an un-Constitutional filibuster

by @ 8:33 pm on January 28, 2006. Filed under Mark Levin Audio

Friday, Mark described how Senate liberals want to filibuster Sam Alito in the name of defending what they claim are Constitutional rights.

Yet, as Mark explained, the very act of a filibuster against a judicial nominee is in and of itself un-Constitutional.

  1. John in Dublin says:

That’s the liberal way. Do the wrong this for the wrong reason at the wrong time.

These libs are such pathetic hypocrites…

  2. saxmachine says:

This is the classic “Hello I’m leaving” strategy, where you walk backwards into a building and give them the impression that you’re leaving. It’s somewhat similar to Gawain, Lancelot and Galihad sneaking into the castle in the large wooden rabbit. Oh wait, that one didn’t work did it, never mind.

  3. Sunny says:

Liberals are firm believers in ignoring the Constitution, including the lib activist judges, algore (“living and breathing” Constitution) and Dem politicians.

  4. The False Dervish says:

From what I can recall, the deal between the Gang of 14 and the Dems was that a filibuster would only be used in the event of a very unusual situation.

The problem is for the dem/libs and evidently for the Gang, anytime a Republican and/or conservative is elected or appointed to something, it is an unusual situation!

  5. saxmachine says:

Any time Ted “The Head” Kennedy shows up sober, or a day when Stretch Pulosi can close her eyes is an unusual situation; but if they waited for one of those events we’d have a full originalist court, all the courts.
