Monday, Mark spoke with a caller that agrees with him on the roll of government.
What did Mark say about writing a book on Conservatism? Hmmm…I hope he is!

Big government is not the answer and even little government empowered by the sacrifice of your liberty and freedom is not the answer. In fact the role of government is to protect the role of the individual… not assume it. Big government can never accomplish that because big means “bloated†with all your dreams, hopes and aspirations taxed and regulated to the point of despair, mitigating the natural incentive embodied within us at birth.
A long time ago Martin Luther King said that he had a dream. Not too long ago Hillary Clinton stated she had many ideas and plans for this Country. I would bet on the former.
Of all species that have inhabited this earth only man can make huge strides within his own generation so that the way he did things during his childhood are replaced by new and better ways by the time he reaches adulthood and beyond; no other species can do that.
Several centuries ago our Founding Fathers also had a dream. They built a template upon which that dream could be achieved. In fact the Constitution was a dream that became a reality that can lead to the fulfillment of just about any dream. In a way that is its’ very purpose. Can you imagine what America looked like at that time? Where Times Square and Wall Street now exist there were farms and stables; dittos for Philadelphia. There were no cement sidewalks and paved avenues and streets. I doubt that the Founding Fathers could ever have imagined a concrete jungle littered with skyscrapers with planes flying overhead and an enormous subway system beneath with seven million people of every ethnicity speaking in multiple languages and dialects on cell phones, connected by satellites, to others in every other country on earth. The concepts of electronic, analog and digital communication with television and ipods were beyond conception. MRI scans, CT sans, PET Scans, and bloodless cancer surgery with gamma and cyber knives were beyond even the dreams of Ben Franklin. In my lifetime we have gone from chain reactions to the exploration of dark matter, wormholes, and string theories that have advanced way beyond quantum mathematics. And I believe that the best is yet to come. Ultimately we will teleport great distances and a by-product of that achievement will enable us to reconfigure the sick to a healthy state, without disease, within a few moments; we will be able to replicate body parts and eventually death itself will be eliminated. Today’s great medical strides will seem prehistoric and barbaric. This is only within the scope of what I can envision and imagination is only the beginning. A deceased friend lost big money when he bet that pictures could not be transmitted through the air. I would not eliminate even the prospect of a resurrection of those that have died. Wild? Not at all. Nothing is unachievable.
Progress is dependent on the free spirit of man working without the constrictive and restrictive shackles of a government that doesn’t trust individual liberty and freedom, that can’t get out of its own way while simultaneously getting in the way of human endeavor, accomplishments and progress that will benefit all of humanity by benefiting the smallest entrepreneur fueled by his own personal dreams (yes, profits as well). Whenever Congress meets they demand (they do not ask) that we surrender our will. Most people do not understand that in so doing they surrender their freedom and in so doing they surrender their dreams and within those dreams lies the hope and betterment of our entire species.
A book on Conservatism is overdo about seventy or so years. More importantly it is absolutely necessary for people to understand that freedom and liberty is required for the health and prosperity of our species. And it is especially important that such a book be written, by someone who can write, who understands what he is writing about and who writes it so well that the reader learns what the author intended. Obviously this needs to be done by the man behind the show before some counterfeit, unintentionally or deliberately, tries to usurp the # 1 spot. No false prophet should get first dibs on the subject; it is too important. ML is an accomplished author as his previous books testify to. I imagine that he is at the beginning of his literary career, and if he so chooses, he can enjoy a financial success even greater than his talk-radio show. I also believe that both the show and his writings will enhance each other as well as those of us that listen and read.
This caller is just the tip of the iceberg. It is what the show is all about and his remarks say it all.
Thanks Mark….your stance on behalf of all of us has given me great solace and pride in you as a warrior in our cause to further freedom and put down those who speak of control and socialsim! I was hopeful after living in the 60’s (even at 15-16 years old),that these liberal monsters who fought against the Vietnamese war and our soldiers, would be gone and their voices silenced…and through Reagan they all but were….now I see the dangers have risen up again with their power from high offices of Government. We the citizens will prevail! I will fight with all my conservative brothers and sisters to defeat the enemy from within our borders! I am with you and so very proud of your knowledge and voice! keep it up!!! we all love you!!! Sue C.
Big government socialism is NOT the answer. Less liberalism, less socialism, less morons, are all the answer…but then I am being redundant…
