Judge allows lawsuit against silent school prayer

by @ 9:47 pm on October 29, 2007. Filed under Mark Levin Audio, Tim Sumner

Mark schooled a judge this evening about the Constitution after the latter ruled a lawsuit against silent prayer in Illinois schools could move forward.

Many of today’s judges seem to ignore that the 1st Amendment bars the government (which includes judges) from prohibiting “the free exercise thereof.” The Illinois law did not establish a religion; it only allowed school students to silently pray (or not). I guess if the lawsuit is successful, the libs will want government funding to hire thought police to enforce the ban.

Drip, drip – the liberals are working a lot like the socialists and Islamo-fascists in European countries – destroying this country from within. These liberal judges (and if this clown is a conservative, then shame on him/her) are mounting subtle and destructive assaults on freedoms and liberties, and religion seems to be the main target. No wonder the young people of today glorify violence, and have criminals and egotists as their role models. With no religion allowed, we are becoming a soul-less society. We really need to think long and hard about what strategy to follow in this next election, and what it will take to get republicans back in control. If the democrats win, we are going down a long, dark road for a very, VERY LONG time.

Silent prayer is anathema to the Left! They HATE to witness anyone acknowledging a Higher Power than them, their crummy Democrat Party, the Federal Government of the United States, or the United Nations!! Prayer, to them, is a ThoughtCrime that must be eliminated by any means necessary! If getting prayer to be ruled as unconstitutional (by using FOREIGN LAW!!) is what is necessary, they will not hesitate!! And if that doesn’t work, then they will resort to sterner measures. These Stalinists are results-oriented people, and one of their main objectives is to intimidate their opposition into silence!!

I say that the lawsuit is a violation of the “Expression Clause” and has absolutely nothing to do with the “Establishment Clause”.

I think y’all missing a point here. If the prayer was an ISLAMIC prayer, and sanctioned by CAIR, there will be free prayer rugs thrown in, and foot wash basins. Get the drift? It is only a PROBLEM if it’s Christian or Jewish prayer!

As for the Left, it is LAUGHABLE that they side with America’s enemies, the Islamofascists, out of political correctness. Do they need to be reminded that these Islamofascists, aka religious zealots, ABHOR GODLESS people, like the Left, and what Hollywood represents – that DEN OF INIQUITY? These Leftists will be the first target of execution by these Islamofascists – first in line on the “chopping block”! Yeah, sure, Leftists, keep siding with these religious extremists, and you speed along your fate. You hate the military, and can manage a whimper of Kumbaya. Well, who is gonna defend the dastardly Lefties when the Islamofascists strike next, at the heart of Liberalism, that den of iniquity, personified by Hollywood?

Hank, this is about a politically correct, feel good government and not about a Constitutional government. Unless of course, you are talking about Terri Schiavo’s feeding tube and IV line when States Rights were Constitutionally paramount even though no one would never permit the euthanasia of an animal in the fashion that they allowed her to die. They know the difference and they know how to manipulate that difference.

  6. task says:

Oops! The above response is grammatically incorrect. Remove the word “never” and replace it with “ever” and it then reads correctly.

  7. HankWilliams4th says:

Haha, I did notice that grammar error, but being the gentleman I am, I shut my trap!

It’s a twisted perspective – you have people so twisted in knots over animals (not that we should abuse animals! HARDLY!), but wouldn’t blink about abortion – oh, it’s just a piece of tissue! Sure! What woman who has conceived, in various stages of conception, goes around telling the world – I got tissue in my womb? No,but a woman proudly proclaims, she is pregnant , that is, she is WITH CHILD. A living being.

Same line of twisted logic over illegal immigration. Such a sea of compassion for illegals portrayed by the media, and the Libs. Do you ever see such outpouring of compassion for those who obey the law of the USA, and quietly stand in line, waiting for their turn, for years? NEVER!

You are right, Task, over Terri Shiavo. I don’t know how those people can sleep at night!

  8. DubInDallas says:

Amen, task and Tex! Right on!!
