The idea that immigration helped develop this Country has no bearing at all. Mark stressed legal immigration as opposed to illegal immigration. Mark asked if Bloomberg was tone deaf. Bloomberg is speaking to democrats, libs and illegals. They are his choir and they enjoy those soundbites.
A Country determines what it needs in terms of immigrant numbers and qualifications. It is not the other way around, where immigrants determine what this Country should do. Are we or are we not a Nation of laws?
To say that this Country was built upon immigration and that justifies illegal immigration is like saying that this Country was built upon slavery and that justifies continuing slavery. Policies change and today is not yesterday.

John, SS suffers because they spent it all. There is no lockbox. It is pay as you go and SS is not equipped to handle baby boomers. In addition most of these immigrants pay very little into SS. They are low wage earners. In fact many of them take out SS money in disability payouts as well as from other welfare benefits. SS is a Ponzi sheme that no legal or illegal immigrants can fix.
I am no fan of Bloomberg. He is not just a RINO he is a solid and pure lib.
