Monday, Mark compared the comments made over the weekend by Ann Coulter with those of Bill Maher.
All you conservatives out there need to listen to the way Mark took on this issue! He did it exactly right! He voiced his displeasure with Coulter’s comments and moved on to the more serious comments! THAT IS HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE! All day I read articles by conservative columnists and listened to local talk show hosts calling national talk show hosts. They were all trying to claim the moral high ground by jumping on the bash-Coulter bandwagon! I was appalled! Shame on them! Mark is right, Ann should not have used that language, but the liberal loons are more dangerous and that is what should be addressed!

Once again the liberal hysterics are deafening! From what I read, the liberal bloggers are shrieking foul play because it appears there weren’t CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, NYT/Washington comPost headlines (oh really?)denouncing Ms. Coulter/republicans for the bigot(s) she/they is/are. Their underlying message is obvious – that this is far worse than those 2 awful, anti-Christian, Catholic basher women hired by Edwards and his campaign. What they said and wrote was more horrible, insulting, and sacrilegious than anything Ann writes or says. Yet it was shrugged off and hushed up quickly, but they’ve stereotyped republicans so forcefully as evil that democrats can climb on their high horsers and exploit their “villains” and the public eats it up. And here we go again. What’s distressing about this episode is that all the good and positive outcomes from the CPAC conference is being ignored (nothing new with the msm) and instead is now being overshadowed by negative publicity caused by all this. The Washington comPost is even being sneaky and initiating guilt-by-association to
the conservative attendants at the conference as being receptive and tolerant to Ann’s off-color joke. Once again reinforcing their stereotype of conservative/republicans “villains”. Maybe we should take a page out of the democrat playbook and shrug it off like they do with all their biggoted and racist remarks. But Ms. Coulter should really choose her words more carefully in future since she is so hated and villified by the left. Good for book sales maybe and I like her writing, but we really don’t need this kind of controversy.
The left is dispicable in their appalling hypocrisy. Their lawmakers and party leaders spew the most vitriolic kind of slander at the administration (during a time of war, no less), and the media lets it slide as “politics as usual”. They happily accept support from kook groups (MoveOn.org, etc) who call the commander in chief “Hitler” and a “terrorist”, and say NOTHING.
We already KNOW all this.
But that is EXACTLY the reason why what Coulter did was so damn STUPID.
YOU DON’T GET IN FRONT OF A MICROPHONE AT A CONFERENCE WHERE NEARLY ALL THE TOP G.O.P. PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES ARE SPEAKING AND CALL A CANDIDATE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ISLE A “FAGGOT”!
Look, I’ve always been a fan of Ann Coulter. By and large, she’s been a necessary sledgehammer against the unhinged left. But THIS???? This is as DUMB as it gets!
She HAD to know how the media would jump all over this, as opposed to how they would basically stand silent on a similar outburst from the other side. THAT’S A GIVEN.
Mitt Romney gave a GREAT speech at that CPAC convention. From what I understand, so did Rudy.
Guess how much attention those speeches will get NOW???
As for Coulter’s excuse that everyone should’ve immediately identified “faggot” as only a slang term for “wimp” and not “queer”……Weak. REALLY weak.

Well, the Scooter Libby guilty verdicts have just been read and, no surprise, it’s blatantly obvious that the jury was stacked against this poor guy. The jury spokesman (clown) is being interviewed(a reporter himself?!? how did he slip under the radar?!?) has made so many anti-Bush statements that this is a travesty and a farce. But, the left is orgiastic and once again their propaganda will trump any attempt at getting at the real truth. We need to get a grip because the looney left is winning the propaganda war. Once again all the good accomplished at CPAC, any advances in Iraq, the booming economy all overshadowed by “faggot”, Scooter Libby and Walter Reed. The left is really rabid and in attack mode once again.
I swear to God, if the Libby verdict doesn’t torch a pilot light under Republicans & conservatives to get off their asses IN MASS and keep the Democrat party away from control in November 2008, NOTHING ever will. I’m already hearing “responses” from Reid, Pelosi & the rest of the jackal pack about how this verdict somehow presents “proof” of the administration “twisting”, “manipulating”, and “lying” about evidence in order to go to war.
THE SAME EVIDENCE THAT THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION MUST’VE BEEN “TWISTING”, “MANIPULATING”, AND “LYING ABOUT IN 1998!!!!
So now Scooter Libby is going to go to prison for allegedly lying about something (revealing the name of a NON-COVERT agent) that he didn’t even do (RICHARD ARMITAGE did)……….AND SANDY BERGER IS WALKING FREE WITH A SLAP ON THE WRIST AND PERMISSION TO GET HIS SECURITY CLEARANCE BACK WITHIN TWO YEARS.
EVERY DAY now I think I’ve seen & heard it all. Then tommorrow comes, and I’m WRONG AGAIN.

We play right into the hands of very unethical media. Either we as conservatives own the media or the liberals own the media. Right now liberals own the media. Don’t help them. Don’t expect the truth let alone a break. This war is just as much with the media as with the liberals in office. In fact it is more so because that is the front end that a very uneducated and susceptible public sees and that is who votes dolts into power.
Until we own, control or buy more friendly media coverage anticipate the coverage of controversy and that conservatives will always be unfairly represented. This requires ingenious countermeasures to set our own traps and awareness not to step into traps we unwittingly design and set for ourselves.
Now now Ann, you cannot say that. After all, what are we, Democrats?
You may not like what Ann said but I’ll tell you this, at least she is willing to pick a fight. I’ll take her in my corner ANY D*MN DAY OF THE WEEK!

Tell it to Michelle Malkin, Handyman. She was present during the speech…….and even SHE has excoriated Ann for it.
She’s no coward..and much more of a man than many would admit..and that isn’t a bad thing.
In the military they say that there is a bullet with “your name” on it but you don’t want to get killed by a bullet with the name “fool” on it. Ann Coulter is a smart person. She made a mistake, only because the media is operated by liberals. Ann can take the hit and sometimes enjoys it. This time she made other people pay a price. Their message was lost in the cacophony that followed. When you bait the media set a trap for them such as with the Dan Rather fiasco. Let them run with it and then set the hook. A couple of events like that and they become shy about getting caught again. You have to strategize when dealing with the media. It is easy to hate them but it is best to win.
Well, I wish Ann Coulter bit her tongue when she was making that speech at CPAC considering how the media would handle it, but the important thing to remember is liberals said much worse than what Ann Coulter had said and had gotten away with it.
I am surprised Mark did not bring up the Weiner Nation incident when Weiner wished AIDS on a caller that got him ousted from TV considering Weiner’s speech then (and now) was even worse than Ann’s speech.
I think I can answer why Mark and other conservatives didn’t mention Weiner’s oral diahrrea about the AIDS thing, Steve:
Conservatives, for good reason, don’t include Weiner as part of the conservative movement. He’s an embarrassment, a scumbag, and a fraud. Ann screwed up…….but she’s STILL a qualified part of the movement (and rightfully SO).
Without question, there’s a silent agreement where the two biggest conservative radio hosts (Rush & Hannity) just ignore Weiner’s pathetic attempts to bait them into responding to his pointless attacks. They KNOW that all Weiner wants is for them to give him some cheap attention by mentioning his fake name (“Savage”) on the air……..and they won’t give him what he wants. That drives the jealous little puke NUTS.
Instead, it’s MARK who puts Weiner in his cross hairs……..and in effect, he exposes him for a currently-growing audience, while Rush & Sean can effectively thumb their noses at him by refusing to even acknowledge his sorry existence. Before long, Mark’s audience will take over as the third-largest in talk radio……..and his exposing Weiner as more related to the unhinged left will be his own personal feather in his cap. And, more importantly, a very WELCOMED one by all good conservatives.
That being said, I doubt that even Mark would waste his time defending Ann by pointing to ANYTHING Weiner says. What Ann did was stupid…….but she STILL deserves better than THAT.
Before too long, Mark Levin WILL be the the third largest! Wow!
Scott. While there were conservatives who ignored Weiner after his infamous wishful AIDS comment, there was one other conservative who denounced Weiner after he made the wishful AIDS comment.
Brent Bozell of the Media Research Center wrote a column on Weiner about Weiner’s conservatism being cartoonish and how he applauded MSNBC’s decision to fire Weiner after he made the comment on the air. Although Bozell also pointed out the hypocrisy on how the leftists get away with such comments, he described how Weiner’s audience for that TV show were pretty much bored channel flippers who watched Weiner’s program.
