They came from small and large towns, they came from your town and my town to arrive in our town.

As is always the case it was gratifying to meet so many everyday people who had a better understanding of American freedom and liberty than those elected as stewards to keep it secure for ourselves and our posterity.

Despite public dissatisfaction the huge majorities held by the socialist party remained a difficult bulwark for the constitutional oriented minorities to overcome.

The passage of any legislation that gives authoritarians greater control over your freedom and property and that restricts your choices is never a good thing but in this case it goes further than it has ever gone before. Unless we are part of the Federal and State tax subsidized systems controlled by the insiders we will eventually be channeled and corralled into a system that will limit what we can do for ourselves and our families, under the banner of compassion, but managed through taxes, rationing of care and increased costs of goods and services. Using taxes and the persuasive imposition of fines and penalties the people will ultimately be deprived of what they can do for themselves through the application of fear and apprehension. It is supposed to be the other way around; the government should be in fear and apprehension when attempting to deprive the people of their unalienable rights.

The presence of so many American protestors on this fateful day was unfortunately overshadowed by the tragic events at Fort Hood where so many lost their lives and many others face long periods of suffering and rehabilitation. What no one yet understands is that the 41 killed and wounded, which will forever remain indelibly imbedded in our memories as a tragedy can never be expunged but, in the final analysis, if this bill becomes law, Americans will be hindered in their ability to defend and protect their health and lives in ways that will result in millions of them ultimately deprived of life, liberty, property and the pursuit of happiness. The coroners’ reports will not be death by gunshot, but by the lack of proper treatment because of an overly ambitious congress, inept in the world of business, medical care and the constitutional restrictions that should never permit this ensuing tragedy to have occurred in the first place.

Today marks the death of the Hippocratic oath; it has been replaced by life grated by luck and Congressional fiat and it is certainly not what the Constitutional Framers had in mind. Unless Federal and State employees are subject to the rigors of the same public option or the people have the right to the same insurance plans reserved for the aurtoritarians, some are treated a lot differently than others which is exactly what equality under the law is all about. This bill, from its genesis to its application, is an attempt to rewrite the Constitution and has no place in American history as a momentous historical event other than to define its true intent, which is to usurp freedom and libery and grant power to a centralized authority. It has successfully deceived no one and a political price is certain to be paid.

I didn't make it to the D.C. rally this time, so had to make do with demonstrating in front of my Democrat Representative in front of his office here in Doylestown, PA. I'm looking forward to watching the video. Thanks for posting it, Tim. :)

I was there today with 16 other patriots from Blair county Pennsylvania. It was a great rally, I was so proud that Mark was there to inspire us. We had an enormous turnout of very motivated and determined citizens opposed to the Obama/Pelosi Health Care Hell.

<blockquote><em>Sgt Tim -- Hi Jeff.</em></blockquote>
