This is exactly what Mark Levin has been ranting about. The critical need for the GOP to run conservatives instead of RINOs! Great article in the Wall Street Journal!
GOP Bid to Reclaim Senate Fuels Fight for Party’s Soul
The Republican Party is in play, and the passage of President Barack Obama’s health plan has inflamed the intraparty wrangling.
On one side are pragmatists like Mr. Cornyn who insist that uncompromising conservatives aren’t good bets to win swing states. On the other are purists like Mr. DeMint who want to field as many conservatives as possible to recapture the public’s trust at a moment when faith in government is at low ebb.
Republicans contend that fierce opposition to the health law will resonate with an angry electorate. “It’s likely to be the centerpiece of many campaigns, particularly against Democrat incumbents,” Mr. DeMint says. “I think it will be a very powerful message.”
The few Republican Senate candidates who haven’t gotten on board with the repeal push, such as Rep. Mike Castle of Delaware, have taken flak. “While this president is in office, repealing this full law is not realistic and not the best use of our efforts,” he said in a statement.
“Unforgivable,” wrote Christine O’Donnell, Mr. Castle’s conservative challenger, to her supporters. “What else can we call my opponent Mike Castle’s cynical refusal to fight for the repeal of ObamaCare?”

Perfect article. I wonder if Mr. Demint is fully aware of how many state GOP chairmen are working behind the scenes to maintain their personal power at the expense of winning seats in the Senate if necessary.
They’ll back a loser rather than back a conservative who is NOT in their back pocket, even if that conservative is well financed and out in front.
If those RINO”s who act like democrats lose republican seats who cares? Let’s go for broke because I would rather have dems piss on the outside of our tent than RINO’s doing so on the inside. The Supreme Court will have pretty much experienced its replacements under Obama so we already lost that advantage. Secondly lets screw the committees and the majority by learning how to use the filibuster because you cannot easily fight Constiutional lawlessness with the law. What part of this war do they not understand that allows them to accept slow suicide over freedom?
Oh, and by the way, the NY GOP chair is up to no good as well. Doug Hoffman’s campaign has said in a letter to his supporters, that the meeting related to endorsement was kept under wraps and thus the endorsement was made without opportunity for the campaign to jump through the hoops BEFORE The endorsement was made. The GOP was fully aware that he was running. READ MORE
Hat tip to me.
Nice try Jim DeMint but you failed miserably on choosing the real conservative over the RINO for Indiana’s Senate race. You endorsed Dan Coats over John Hostettler! I thought surely you’ve lost your mind. I remember Dan Coats claimed to be Pro-Life but then supported Ruth Bader Ginsberg. He also voted to fund abortions in other countries. He also claimed to be a supporter of the 2nd Amendment but then voted for the Clinton gun ban and also for the Brady Bill, which had several provisions struck down by the then liberal Supreme Court as crossing the line on infringing of our rights under the 2nd Amendment. He voted for the confirmation of David Souter the big supporter of the governments’ rights over the citizens’ on imminent domain.
If there ever was a freedom taker RINO, Dan Coats is it.
Shame on you Mr. DeMint for endorsing Dan Coats.!
IndiCon, I don’t know those candidates, so I will take your word for it. Have you called DeMint to tell him this?
MFL,
I’m afraid he is right.
