Some suggest that letting the Democrat and Republican parties wither and die is what we need to do. Mark Levin asks “What then?” and offers another way, the conservative way:
What is the history of “third parties” in the United States?
Is this what the Beckbencher has in mind? What a tool! All you fans of the 5PMer need to wake up and look at what he’s all about. If you follow his 3rd party drum beat, you will be ushering in another Obama term. Is that what you want?

Any third party designed to capitalize on the shortcomings of the Republican Party would snatch defeat from the jaws of victory almost instantly. No matter who the candidates are such a move represents a dream team for the Democrats and by doing so represents a disaster for a conservative advancement.
Since all indications point to polarizing party differences, with conservatism on the ascendancy within the Republican Party and socialism, likewise, as the mainstay philosophy of Democrats this is not the time to minimize party differences. The obvious lineup on the weekend health care vote could not have represented a clearer picture of what each party represents. This was not the talk of campaign promises; it was how they walk the walk; likewise on Kneecap and Tax, policies on energy independence as an alternative to energy dependence along with job creation via fewer taxes, less regulation, less government debt via unnecessary borrowing, confiscation and prodigal spending.
The differences between the parties has never been clearer in recent times. There are no conservatives within today’s Democrat Party. They are all left and far left and while there is a variety mix within the Republican Party it still represents the home of many solid conservatives. Let’s fix what we already have and not reinvent a wheel because it has several damaged spokes. Next year will not be a good year for socialists and I doubt RINOs will fare much better.
I notice that there used to be a lot more commenters on this site. What happened? To many banned for speaking heresy according to Mark Levin.
Mark is a very learned man. He has much knowledge. Unfortunately, like his best buddy Hannity, … God Bless him, he’s just not that bright.
He’s also a small, petty, egotistical, envy-ridden man; hence his near-constant denigration of Glenn Beck.
Nothing that great about Beck, either; but, why the obsession — other than that Beck has higher ratings.
When I first started listening to Mark, I passed off his hatred of Savage as an isolated and perhaps personal thing. I’ve learned that this is a compulsive habit with Mark. And his reason for hating Savage? Bad-mouthing other conservative radio hosts. Pot, meet Kettle.
As for the third party issue; no one wants a third party. What REAL conservatives want is a SECOND party — with the Republican Party dying swift and long-deserved death.
However, I DO like the argument that because a thing hasn’t succeeded in the past, it cannot ever succeed. I’m sure Reagan would have liked it too, after his first election loss. Mark’s advice at the time probably would have been to give it up. After all, if at first you don’t succeed, screw it.
Yes, Ariel, the Republican Party is unfixable, should vanish and our great, great grandchildren would then rise out of the potpourri of human misery that will prevail for decades after Obama and the geniuses from Chicago’s South Side level the playing field (or the results of the game) while reinventing socialism that works; after all, eventually, even if something hasn’t worked before, like a third party, it just might, so real conservatives (not us) should go for the long shot, take the chance, and just brace themselves for the more probable likelihood that they will fail, resulting in decades of socialist ideology that is sure to come even more swiftly than what we have seen in the past eleven months. Now I wonder why Levin didn’t think of that brilliant strategy?
Levin is not small and does have a large ego that is deservedly related to all the intelligent and meaningful material that he helps his large teachable audiences understand.
As for Beck, he has done some great research, lots of good people listen to him, is a bright guy, has said many things that Levin also states (sometimes word for word), but also manages to say things which are about as dumb as your own comments. And that is the real rub because there is danger in doing that. When you get as much attention as Beck you can do wonderful things or, if you are not careful about what you do not understand, you can make some monumental errors that the MSM will quickly use to tarnish all conservatives (even fake ones like Levin fans). Despite the fact that Beck states that he is an independent, with no party affiliation, he does espouse many conservative principles but still remains a man in search of a leader. In this country, a presidential candidate is DOA without a party and the associated infrastructure.
There are only two great philosophical forces (free enterprise or socialism) that exist and the destiny of mankind is intrinsically tied to them. You either have free will to create your own prosperity or someone else owns some part of your freedom to hinder you from doing all that you can do for yourself. Conservatives believe liberty is paramount and understand that the liberty of their fellow man must be protected (ordered liberty) as if it was their own. From any reasonable perspective, at this current time, the Democrat Party is the party of socialists. Republicans are not communists, espousing a hard left ideology that gives us national bankruptcy, leaves us energy poor, jobless, militarily weaker and, most of all, without incentive to help ourselves do what is in our own self-interest because the inspiration and motivation that is needed will have been confiscated by the government of the alternative party.
I would hope that you could understand the above but I suspect it will only encourge you to despise us even more so in the end the only advise I can really offer is to re-read Sgt. Tim’s reply.
3 things ….
first: There is a reason why people don’t jump on the 3rd party bandwagon. It is because THEY LOSE. They don’t call them “losertarians” for nothing.
Second: No offense, but Uriel sounds like a con-mans handle. Cheap and pseudo intellectual. Like I.M Slick or U.R. Stuck. Sort of trying to rub our faces in it for not being as “cleaver” as you seem to think you are.
Third: You think Mark is not that bright? I hardly know what to say. I guess I’ll be charitable and suggest that you stop trying to be brilliant and try being right for a change.
And quit listening to NPR, it’s rotting your brain.
