My congressman during a phone town hall if you could call it that, expressed the statement (in amazement) that he could not understand why anyone would be against a public option. What a rep of The People. Hope to be there and then take in a museum. I can't think of a better day to take my 5 y.o. out of school ... to learn how to face your public representative! The coconuts, morons, idiots and goofballs in Congress have not a clue as to what type of bureaucracy they need to construct to help save you after they deny you your own liberty. They don’t know how to do socialism. You can’t throw money and bureaucrats at this. It is massively complex. Even the Europeans that practiced some form of socialism for decades, if not centuries, gradually advanced into what they currently have that is not working. Get out of the way and let people figure out how to help themselves and others without the limitations imposed by government and the restrictions that they place on real competition. The fact that the government is the worst payer, that denies the most, pays late and cannot effectively control fraud is what helped to contribute to the inflation in medicine and surgery. Real competition drives prices down and improves quality. If you think you will get that new hip, knee, shoulder or aortic valve in a timely fashion under the direction and authority of the US government then you should first seek a brain transplant to understand what they really have in store for you.
