Mark Levin spoke with Ramesh Ponnuru of the National Review about the latest ruse in the national health care plan, opt out, as was announced by Senator Harry Reid:
“Now, if you are one of these states, if you opt out, what you are saying is, we are going to let our people pay these higher premiums to private insurance plans but they’re not getting the benefits of this public option; no state is going to want to take that deal.”

As American servicemen wait for a leader to emerge to provide direction, courage, commitment and purpose for their efforts and sacrifice in Afghanistan the President and his congressional minions procrastinate on a troop surge while spending months crafting a domestic piece of health care legislation based upon centralized control, redistribution of property and pseudo compassion yet deliberately solves not a scintilla of any health care problems real or imagined. Worst of all it legitimizes non-existent rights, destroys real rights, and places enormous debt on a currently weak economy concerned over trillions in future obligations it cannot conceive of paying off. We are not alone; the entire World sees it the same way.
The US Constitution speaks nothing of compassion or charity. It addresses freedom and liberty and yet nowhere in these behemoth, indecipherable, deliberately ambiguous pieces of anti-constitutional legislation does a constitutional reference reside.
When the government bribes people with their own money a public heath care option represents a product that no private insurance company can compete with. The government monopoly can temporarily artificially lower costs to destroy competition in the same way that Rockefeller lowered the cost of oil and destroyed his competitors. Ultimately, a government monopoly reigns where competition previously was attracted to the idea of a profit that becomes impossible to achieve. Likewise the states will pursue the public option and not op-out since they are, otherwise, not recouping their own subsidies and/or enjoying lower premiums.
In the meantime you can count on the Administration to discover and publish info on corruption within the Karzai government to lend protection for its failure to construct a solid Afghanistan commitment. It should have no problem discovering what to look for considering the decades of experience it has in doing the same things.
