Have you heard that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) threatened to investigate the New York Times after it published classified secrets about the Terrorist Surveillance Program and the names and photographs of CIA agents and interrogators? Have you also heard that he threatened to lead a boycott against the Washington Post after it published secrets about the locations of the CIA’s “black prisons” where interrogations of al Qaeda’s high-valued detainees took place? Of course you have not heard those things because they did not happen.
On Wednesday, before he addressed a Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce luncheon, Reid joined the chamber’s board members for a meet-’n'-greet and a photo. One of the last in line was the Review-Journal’s director of advertising, Bob Brown, a hard-working Nevadan who toils every day on behalf of advertisers. He has nothing to do with news coverage or the opinion pages of the Review-Journal. Yet, as Bob shook hands with our senior U.S. senator in what should have been nothing but a gracious business setting, Reid said: “I hope you go out of business.” Later, in his public speech, Reid said he wanted to let everyone know that he wants the Review-Journal to continue selling advertising because the Las Vegas Sun [a rival newspaper] is delivered inside the Review-Journal. — Sherman Frederick, publisher of the Las Vegas Review-Journal and president of Stephens Media, ‘Enough is enough, Harry; Stop the childish bullying,’ August 30, 2009
Mark Levin spoke with Sherman Frederick this evening:
Senator Reid only attempts to intimidate newspapers that have investigated his secret, personal business dealings while in office. If our nation is less safe because of what liberal newspapers do, Harry Reid is okay with that.

‘Ol Harry – like most Democrats – has no idea that companies like these provide jobs and allow folks to pursue a better life. His failure to understand simple, street-level economics is yet another reason Obamacare will fail. ( for the top ten Economic reasons Obama care will fail, you can view: http://www.conservativeblog.thewebinfocenter.com/conservative-blog/failing-econ-101-%E2%80%93-top-ten-economic-reasons-obamacare-will-fail )
In the end, it will be Searchlight Harry who will be out of business next year.
Something gets lost in the translation. Even though I have a point to prove that point will never take precedence over the facts and what I observe and can measure even if I have to suck up to some moron that made a lucky assumption. In my world such an event is rare but libs place party affiliation over everything and lose all rational perspective. I took basic economics and it was an easy “A” but never really pursued much from a real world perspective with any seriousness. Yet, when I look at what I read, over an above my professional career, it seems that I underestimated myself and therefore overestimated the intelligence of so many politicians. These guys can’t be that stupid. We criticize “Stockholm Syndrome” victims yet the greatest number seem to be among lib politicians grasping for votes. There is no other way that they can think this way unless they are true ideologues. Reed is not. He was different and now is a turncoat who is completely out of his mind. Anyone who looks at this stimulus and spending psychology who does nothing more than stock inventory, whether for a business or a household, can relate to the insanity of massive spending of borrowed money for projects that have no real purpose except to establish political capital and power.
If I told you that I lost my job and that I was going to live off of my credit cards by spending even more than I did when I was working and expected that this would be paid back when I again start working you would be speechless and yet this is the national economic philosophy of the socialist majority for which Reed carries the water… albeit ineloquently and with crash elitism that is impossible to camouflage. The man who said that “this war is lost” should know what he is talking about himself and his party. The media will fudge, lie and fail to present the the facts but no society can rely on an economy whose chief export is debt. Bush would be demolished for this economic debacle. In fact the NY Slimes considered a 4.75% unemployment rate bad economic news under Bush’s tenure. The rate was too low and reflected insufficient workers or some other illogic akin to that.
Watch how the stimulus money is spent heavily in the months prior to mid-term elections so that Reed and his ilk can brag about the Administration’s stewardess in saving us from the capitalist conundrum created by the evil Bush and the Rasputin Cheney. Reed is a creation of perception. He is no different than the Ionian Columns used by the Obama people at his coronation for president. Of course he doesn’t like bad publicity. No one does, but the way he reacted is proof enough that he has arrived at his time for departure.
