MLF, do we know whether or not TGO is going to be doing any booksignings to promote Liberty and Tyranny? Maybe at least over at the Book Revue in Huntington? I know he worries about the bad stalkers (as opposed to myself, who is a good stalker)
It would be a shame if those leftist creeps ruin it for the rest of us. I’ve been holding off buying it in the hope that he will do at least one.

I am going to buy this book. It would be a very scarry thought if the terrorists attacked us by planting one of their own in the White House. I don’t think 9/11 even comes close to what the idiots in the White House are doing to our country We are being attacked from our own government. The terror attacks are still coming and are far more destructive than any jet liner flying into a building. I saw a John Carpenter movie the other day called “They Live” – this movie is very appropriate for the freek show running this country. Thank you Mark for being our warrior.

Instead of just reading Washington’s farewell address Ron Paul should concentrate on the Koran which contains elements that are more like a reverse Monroe Doctrine and could have been written by Bin Laden himself.
To the extent that the laws of relativity have superseded the laws of Newton’s physics large oceans and minding our own business are insufficient to protect us from today’s weaponry. Should we follow the way of Ron Paul that ostrich will end up having the fate of the Dodo. Before some of Ron Paul’s more sensible economic policies can be enacted he needs to recognize that we can achieve nothing if his military mentality places us on the endangered species list.
Sometimes when you cross a RR track and look at the train that just passed you fail to see another train coming from the opposite direction. Hence while worried about Ron Paul we just got slammed by Obama and are all victims of that black irony.
The problem with RuPaul & his constituents is that they treat the constitution like a suicide pact. And it’s not.
When Patrick Henry said, “Give me liberty, or give me death”, our only means of transportation was a horse & buggy. There were no automobiles. There was no means of air transportation. There were no telephones. No sophisticated wireless means of communication. No computers. No cyberspace.
He may have good intentions……but Ron Paul is a fossilized relic of “liberty”. In the computerized modern era, he’s a chalk board & a piece of chalk. Anybody who believes that the NSA Surveillance Program is a “constitutional threat to our right to privacy” or that the terrorists who hit us on 9/11 were “just a group of thugs” has no business in our federal government, IMO.

For those of you who missed last night book signing, I can honestly say I have never seen anything like it. The people just kept coming. The line reach ALL THE WAY around the block. I dont even know if they would have had enough books to accommodate everyone that was there. Rescuing Sprite book signing couldnt even touch last nights crowd. I know a lot of people came from the tri-state area but I could only pray that there is hope for Long Island and NY as far as the Conservative movement is concerned.
You are so right, Pete! I got a late start coming from PA., and when I got there around 3:00 pm, when I saw you on your way to feed the parking meter, lol, the line was already halfway down the block. When I left at 8:00 pm, the line was even longer, going around the corner and up the block almost to the next corner. At 8:00 pm!!! The line to buy Mark’s book was never ending! I’m pretty sure they must have run out of books before they all got them.
It was great to see TGO, Sean, Curtis and Mark Simone, as well as all my friends from here! I’m so glad I went. I met people from other parts of PA, from NJ, RI, and Massachusettes. The sales of this book will be off the charts! Congratulations to Mark, and I’m very grateful that he decided to write this much needed book at this time. Thank you, Mark!
Wow! What an amazing turnout! I left around 7:30, and I was stunned at the size of the crowd outside, wrapping around the block. It is painfully clear that the people who organized the event underestimated the size of TGO’s listening audience…and the overwhelming support for his message.
While I feel very sorry for those people who arrived too late to get in our buy any of TGO’s books, the brutal reality is that you often have less than 15 seconds of time with TGO at the signing desk, maybe 30 seconds or so seconds with Sean, and possibly a minute with Curtis or Mark Simone. That’s about 3 minutes total. The majority of your time will be spent with fellow Conservatives, Republicans, Blue Dog Democrats, Libertarians, and right leaning Independents. I love spending time with fellow fans…and that is where the true magic of these events is at…networking and finding out you are not alone in your love of country, faith, and family.
It was great seeing TGO, but it was even better catching up with old friends, and making a few new ones. …a shout out to Trinity, LI Pete, Mrs. DnLkRonk, Jean, HC (who I missed!),Don (wave only) and all the new fans who were in the first and second rows, right hand side…especially DC Pete, and the WWII Vet.
My advice to those of you going to the next signing event – get there early, especially if you can not stand for any length of time. TGO’s audience has grown tremendously in the past few years…nearly everyone I met started listening within the last year, many found TGO by word of mouth. And, do not judge his audience size by the number of callers he gets – everyone I spoke to said they were afraid of calling in (like me) because they didn’t want to sound foolish on air. Even TGO book signing veterans (at Book Revue for Men in Black, and Sprite) misjudged the time and didn’t get there early enough to get a seat…of which there were only 200, by the way. I can’t stress it enough – GET THERE EARLY and be prepared to wait.
If any veterans of past Barnes & Nobel book signings read this fan site, you may want to start a thread in the Forum to discuss general book signing protocol at that location…parking, lines, seating…things like that. Also, for people driving long distances and who don’t know the area, you may want to suggest places to eat, or make carpool arrangements from a park & ride location. I offered a car pool in NW Suffolk, and sadly, no one took me up on it. If they had, they would have had a seat in the first row as I got there 4-1/2 hours ahead of the event. Also, I hope the powers that be ship more than enough books to the next event to avoid the disappointment experienced by those at the Book Revue signing. It is truly heartbreaking to read about young fans who missed out on a warm handshake from a truly wonderful person.
And lastly, and most importantly…TGO – thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for this fabulous book. It is perfection and should be required reading for all of humanity.
I arrived at 3:30 and the line was already half way around the block perimeter. That in itself was drawing a lot of attention from passing automobiles, many of whom I am certain, came for the signing but had to realize that a sufficient quantity of books, let alone time for ML to sign them, was simply unachievable, and so they went home.
Although I just barely managed to gain entrance it made no difference, regarding a purchase, since all copies had just been sold out; fortunately my brother-in-law managed to purchase a copy from someone who had already purchased six and was reluctantly willing to even part with even one, but was so cajoled, begged and besieged he finally relinquished. And so I accompanied him to the signing and enjoyed the pleasurable experience of greeting the Great One myself.
Standing in line was actually well worth the trip. It wasn’t really a line. It was more of a gathering, a town hall meeting that resembled a get together of friends and family members. We discussed everything from pets to spaghetti sauce and credit default swaps and I have to say that Mark Levin fans and enthusiasts are the most aware and knowledgeable people in America. They know what they are talking about because they know and understand the facts and the issues. Several of us left the line and came back with coffee for the rest and then others left and returned with soft drinks, fruit drinks and smoothies along with candy and peanuts. Many of us had lived in the same neighborhoods or towns in the past and even though we just met we knew many of the same people and had similar experiences that we enjoyed discussing. In all we had a great time.
Since the election I have been thrilled that ML embarked upon this project. Things have changed since he initially announced that he planned this work. You can hear Constitutional words and phases from the Declaration and founding documents being bantered around everywhere and everyplace you go because this new administration is causing people to analyze who we are, what we are about, where we are going and how this all fits together in the great scheme of things. They are consumed with introspection and sense a change they are extremely uncomfortable with because they were never really certain, when they voted, that it would be change for the better and now, I believe, many comprehend that it will be far worse than they could have imaged and that it represents an unequivocal clear and present danger to our American way of life.
I have always stated that I have complete and total faith and trust in liberals but didn’t trust republicans and conservatives. And by that I mean that liberals can always be counted upon to do the wrong thing while conservatives cannot be counted upon to do the right thing. That is why it was so necessary for this book to be written by the right man because, as sure as the sun rises in the east each and every day, there will other books written by those that deliberately (and in a few cases innocently), try and reinvent or mischaracterize the meanings and objectives of our founding principles so as to allow government to grow and become and do what it was never intended to be or do. This book will stand and survive on its own merits thanks to the wisdom, brains and credibility of the author but make no mistake about the fact that it will receive challenge because it will enunciate the defining threat to those who wish to change this country and feel that they have finally come within immediate reach of being able to do so.
The signing event was a clear statement that ML has taped into a vast energy conduit. While on line, as I gazed at the cars and people that walked and drove by, I became aware that some were not there for friendly reasons but were clearly repelled and thwarted by the sheer volume of a powerful presence of purpose expressed by a crowd that was not about to allow anyone to ruin their day. As for me I am happy to know that the copies I ordered from Amazon are but a week away and even though I didn’t receive a signed copy I had, as they say in Italian, “Un bel di vedremoâ€Â… one fine day.
The bookstore guy at the bottom of the stairs who was controlling the signature line said they had 1100 books. I wonder how many they could have sold?
When I left at about 7:15 pm, I couldn’t believe that the line was still around 2 corners and almost around the 3rd corner of the block. I stopped in the Crumbs Bakery across from the 3rd side of the lineup, and it was humorous – they kept telling people it was because Sean Hannity was at the bookstore and someone said “no it’s because Mark Levin is signing books at the bookstoreâ€Â, and someone else said “Who?†and the person who knew said “try WABC weeknights at 6 pm and you’ll find outâ€Â. I was beyond stunned that so many people were still in that line despite the time, the length of the line (plus the store was still packed), and the fact that the books were long gone. A very well-deserved tribute to Mark!
I was sure I would have a parking ticket because I had left my car in a 2-hr spot, but I guess Huntington’s finest were being extra kind to the masses.
I concur with the advice above, if you are going to one of the next signings, plan to arrive early, and expect to wait in a big line! Try to find out the procedure ahead of time if you can so you can adjust your plans, and buy the book early in the day because they too might run out. If you can, go with at least one other person so you can hold seats AND wait in a line for the book if necessary.
The only bad part of the day for me was when I told Mark that we really need him on the air in Boston and he gave a heavy sigh and said, “I’m afraid it’s a lost cause up there.†I didn’t pursue whether he meant getting on the radio here was a lost cause, or whether any city that repeatedly and overwhelmingly sends Barney’s Frank et. al. to DC is in general a lost cause. Probably both, LOL.
It was good seeing you again, Anna! And task, I’m so sorry that I missed meeting you. I didn’t know you were there or I would have tried to find you to say hello. I enjoy your writings.
Trinity, I would have loved to meet you and everyone else but I had no way of recognizing anyone nor would they have known who I was. In fact after I left the line to get coffee for the others I passed my placeholder twice before I got back in. Should a similar event arise maybe ML would provide you with my email address so we could arrange something.

It is time to have another revolution. If Jefferson were around today, he would never believe how big, powerful, and tyrannical our government has become. The Colonists revolted against King George for far less grievances than we, the Conservative Minority, have today. At least King George never told the Colonists they couldn’t burn wood to keep warm in the winter!
We also share some of the same things with the Colonists: Taxation without Representation. Since, almost half of all Americans pay no tax and actually receive income re-distribution from the Democrats, we, the Conservative base, get no representation. The top 25% of wage earners pay 86% of all taxes. The top .5% are mostly very wealthy Democrats that don’t pay their share of taxes. The Democrats are like bookends around the productive society in the middle. The poor at the bottom, and the elite at the top share a symbiotic relationship. The upper middle class is mostly Republican. Everyone knows this. The Washington elites know they can screw this group and get away with it. But soon, the abuse of the left will affect everyone. Foreign governments will dictate how much America will reduce its energy use. It is insane.
The very Congressmen and Senators that caused the Mortgage crisis are the ones that have been put in power to fix it. We speak of trillions of dollars the way we used to speak of billions. We get the will of the people overturned by activist judges after the people make their wishes known through elections.
The low-income majority gets representation without taxation. Our porous borders have led to millions of low-income, low-skilled illegals setting up their own cities within our cities insulated from any pressure to leave. In fact, our good-natured look-the-other-way tolerance has allowed groups like La Raza to promote an overt plan to overrun the United States with illegals who will one day remove us from our own country. These radicals consult with Democrat Congressional and Senatorial staff in the writing of illegal amnesty legislation. The “shovel-ready” Stimulus Plan projects will go to Illegals instead of unemployed bankers. In fact, instead of actually helping unemployed Americans, there will be a flood of more illegals into the U.S. to grab the manual labor jobs and to escape the growing instability and violence of Mexico. The goal of the Democrat leftists in Congress is to gain an insurmountable majority of voters through fast-track citizenship of hoards of illegals. This is treason. Every Congressman and Senator that support Amnesty for Illegals (all Democrats including Juan McCain), should be impeached.
We are seeing what a radical leftist President and a leftist Congress can do to this country in only two months. We also see the weak and pathetic opposition put forth by the likes of Mitch McConnell. It is time to remove these useless weasels from the Republican party and replace them with true Conservatives.
The leftists have had us on a gradual slope towards totalitarianism for the past 30 years. For most, it has been barely noticeable. They have tempered their language and actions so as to not arouse the public at large. However, with the victories in the House, Senate, and Executive Branch, the leftists have become overconfident. They now say what they believe. Their actions reveal their far-left ideology. It’s OK to say banks should be nationalized. It’s OK to control what cars GM manufactures. It’s OK to dictate salaries at all companies, including the ones that haven’t received government bailouts. Despite the best efforts of NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, and MSNBC to cover for Obama, his radical nature is becoming apparent to everyone. Coupled with the “I hope Obama fails” statement by Rush and Mark’s intensified defense of liberty through his new book, there IS a rapidly growing movement to take back the United States from the statists! The radical team of sophisticated statists that Obama has assembled have reason to fear this growth. We have had enough!

Rush Limbaugh wasn’t disingenuous when he hoped that Obama fails to succeed in doing great harm to America by socializing her. The media lied by omitting the socialist reference from his comment. The powerful and sad fact, that many fail to grasp, is that Obama, himself, is the disingenuous one. It is he who wants, needs and actually must have America fail and to that end he will attempt to vaporize American values, institutions and history from the pilgrims to the doorstep of George W. Bush and then attempt to reset the system to achieve a new international egalitarianism. And so the media camouflaged the truth regarding his liberal roots and anti-American sentiment and thereby led people to erroneously believe he would govern as a centrist. They knew better.
Worse yet is what the media never mentions, because they never thought about or understood what millions of people also do not think about or realize. As our institutions and systems are now being destroyed, what expectations does everyone have regarding their replacements? No one has a clue. Obama spent most of his life dreaming to destroy western values and he knows full well how to do that but the reality is that he never quite understood what substitutions would fill the void and how they would work. The characters of his past, his parents, his mentors, his friends and the current cadre that he selected to accomplish the promised change know what they hate but know not a thing about what they love, what has value and what will work. They are chronic discontents. They have a political philosophy based upon criticism without synthesis and have never considered that you do not give up something of value unless you have something of value to replace it with. The sad truth is that liberty has no substitute that can still be called by the same name.
I have always despised the 16th Amendment, not because it is was designed to be illegal, which it was not, but because it is not front-loaded. Taxing income can only be fair, if like the payroll tax, it places the emphasis on taxing everyone equally, on the early income, but winds down as people make additional income and, in so doing, places incentive on achievement and the hope to make more money that will be taxed at a lower rate. Either that or a flat tax creates voters that have a legitimate stake in an outcome as opposed to a tax, based upon artificially constructed classes, designed solely to acquire votes at the expense of unalienable rights, the chief being the right to acquire, keep and use property. As it currently stands this Amendment has evolved into the ultimate Bill of Attainder.
When you marry the 16the Amendment to the equal protection clause of the 14th Amendment the left has done to America what the perpetrators of 911 did. As terrorists who used our own planes against us the anti-American liberal has managed, through the courts, to redefine the original intention of the 14th Amendment to achieve equality of results independent of equality of opportunity and thereby effectively redistribute property that they stole using the 16th Amendment. To the extent that this has occurred we now vote based upon conflicts of interest that benefit some by stealing the rights of others. Obviously that was not the original intent of either of these two amendments that are now actively being used to undermine and destroy freedom and liberty. In fact, there is no responsibility or obligation to establish equality of opportunity but only the right to demand that a government not steal the freedoms provided, by birth, for the individual. Such an attempt is really impossible because we are not all created with the figure of Jessica Simpson or possessing the natural intelligence of ML and yet neither of these individuals acquired any of their attributes from any government, but using the natural freedoms they were endowed with, have achieved personal success and in the process have benefited so many others. In an imperfect world it is not the right of some to reformulate things on the backs of others. This cannot be a legitimate purpose of a legitimate government that is commissioned to cherish and protect unalienable human birthrights and liberties. Ultimately a moral people, by pursing their own prosperity via natural freedom, fill in the gaps using their own generosity and, to the extent that we continually do such, is testimony about the character and morality of who we really are. I love America; Barack Obama does not and that states a lot about how he feels about himself and the direction he wishes to take this country and, ultimately, the world.

The media has no credibility in reporting the news and covering the important issues of the day regarding the policies of The Obama Administration. Today the left-wing media covered the “handshake” and book gift by dictator Hugo Chavez. Everyone from the Today Show to Good Morning America slobbered over the Chavez book reaching the number two spot on Amazon. The book, which has been in print for quite some time, made a resurgence on the most read list and the liberal media is practically orgasmic! Is the book a classic? Is the book a narrative of a life that showed sacrifice and courage? No! The book is about the evil, imperialistic and iron-fist ruling United States! Reporter Savannah Gutherie of MSNBC couldn’t contain herself as she reported back to Meredith Veira the good news about the Chavez book. No! The media isn’t biased at all! There is one little problem with this premature celebration. The always left leaning reporters forgot a tiny bit of information during their frenzy Chavez brown-nosing reporting; it seems that the number one spot on Amazon and the NY Times best sellers list is a book called “Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto, By Mark Levin. Yes….this book hasn’t had the accolade of ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, MSNBC or the other elitists! Yet, quietly and steadily it has managed to climb to the top and remain there. I can’t imagine why? Could it be that people instinctively know that liberty (not Socialism, Communism, Fascism or Marxism) is the catalyst for excellence and the making of great humanity among man! I guess that prolific ideology didn’t quite capture the attention of the “trend-setting, dictator -loving” journalist! In this country our desire to promote the principles of our Founding Fathers and espouse the right of man to be a free thinking individual trumps words of a dictator and his Socialist agenda any day!

I walked into the bookstore yesterday at Fordham University. Right in front — the display for Mark Levin’s Liberty and Tyranny! such a contrast to the experience an hour prior when at Sarah Lawrence College the host speaker said he could not emphasize enough the fact that the most famous and best alum was Raul Emmanuel. But that didn’t come close to the rant at New School in Manhattan on Sunday, when the Dean went on and on, about the new generation they were “training” (not teaching, training) for The Age of Obama.
On the train back to DC, I didn’t mean to eavesdrop, but heard people clearly talking about, and I quote, “tiny Tim” Geitner (sorry for the spelling) and the “so-called” Stimulus. Things are changing and people are becoming braver to speak aloud.
FREE U.S. FROM OBAMA…Finally got Mr. Levin’s LIBERTY & TYRANNY…I kinda thought it was like eating vitamins on “speed” as his comments, logic and historical perspective were bountiful and compacted with truth! Great book!..oNE bAD A** mISTAKE, aMERICA!
I hate being a trucker sometimes. Most days I can”t get the show or it”s on too late at night. (Don”t believe the bumper sticker that says “Truckers do it all night long!”) So when I can get an internet connection and download the shows I”ve missed, I find out that I also missed out on my only opportunity to acquire a signed copy of “Liberty and Tyranny”. It”s like not hearing that suppers ready and when you show up it”s all gone and the dishes are put away. I had that happen in the Army too many times! Egads Mark, I”m so sorry I missed out on this once in a life time opportunity. Well maybe my Walmart will have one I can get someday.

I am a recent listener on the radio talk show. I haven’t read the book yet, but my interest is peaked. I am almost convinced that the rebirth of the Roman empire refers to the United States. And it is predicted that this person would enamour his audience during a economic crisis. Being a college professor, he just may think that he has to teach his audience a lesson.

Mark Levin LOVES HIS COUNTRY, and HIS FELLOW COUNTRYMAN. This book should be required reading by every person that considers themself to be an AMERICAN!! Don’t buy just one, by many for your friends. What a book! A classic in its own time. This generation’s re-Declaration of Independence and Liberty. If you were living in 1776, I’m sure you would have been a signatory to the Declaration! And thank you for providing a term that fits liberals – Ayn Rand’s term as well. The following is what I’ve observed about statism:
Liberal and Liberalism as they are used today, retain very little of their original meanings. Today’s Liberalism equates to Statism and today’s Liberal is, for all intents and purposes, a Statist. Before they can plunder a society, statists know they must first “bind the strong man†of truth because truth is the statist’s greatest enemy. Statists achieve this objective by infecting a society’s time-honored traditional values with pathogenic philosophies such as Multiculturalism, Feminism, Homosexuality, Abortion, and other vile ‘isms.’ Statists are parasites that carry the social plague called Statism. The disease of Statism is more harmful to a society than terrorism because the Statist impersonates good intentions whereas the terrorist does little to hide his true intentions.
The first stage of Statism involves co-opting the host culture’s language, particularly as it relates to traditional values — a free society’s first line of defense against tyranny. To illustrate, American Statists have hijacked Classical Liberalism’s ‘individual liberty’ by shackling it with an “anything goes†meaning that amounts to moral turpitude. Thus, Statists have turned America’s time-honored value of individual liberty against our society in much the same way that an autoimmune disease turns the body’s own defenses against itself.
