Here are his own words in 1936 when he recognized that his party was in a transition state that embraced socialism. That party has never gone back to out heritage nor did Al Smith ever go back to the party despite the fact that he said he would remain a democrat. No more McCains. No more George Bush's.No more millionaire's.
