Gold Star mother Deborah Tainsh called Mark Levin tonight and spoke eloquently of her fallen son Army Sergeant Patrick S. Tainsh, who was killed in Iraq on February 11, 2004. She shared some of his words and her thoughts about the upcoming election:

Newsweek reported that Sgt Tainsh’s parents shared his letter with President George W. Bush. This is the first page of that letter:

In case you do not have a pdf reader, at the bottom of the letter, President Bush hand wrote this reply:

Patrick — Thanks for your courage – I won’t let you down. s/George W. Bush 1-11-08

    So sad… so very sad. Bush never let him down and thanks to the surge America didn’t either. Only the mind of a liberal could accept defeat, could pursue defeat, even while we are winning, with complete disregard for our bravest who lost their lives and only asked that we succeed. We will.
