Barack Obama and the rest of the leading lib politicians may hint they are not against more drilling for oil, yet it will never happen as long as they hold power. Mark Levin slammed them last night and then encouraged House Republicans to keep going after them on the issue:

The entire democrat apparatus is assuming the mantle of a theocracy based upon saving the World from the evil, greedy, heartless and compassionless corporations who would see the entire planet, and all the innocent inhabitants, consumed by an environmental apocalypse. Greed vs. clean air and water, profit vs. compassion, our children’s earth turned into a stagnant cesspool, barren of life as is the Martian crust. Sterility vs. abundant life and what is left of mankind is forced to live like burrowing moles, underground, where we hide from the sun’s radiation due to a vanquished ozone layer as a result of the unregulated zest of the fluorocarbon companies who put profits before cancer. The forces of darkness will have prevailed but for the arrival and time of the Appointed and Anointed One, whom the earth has waited for, the apostle of sanity and order that will lead us, along the path of righteousness to the light. And the dangerous, ugly and poisonous environment that we created for ourselves will cease to exist and no longer be required for us to prosper, for the bosom of the earth shall radiate with kindness and we will be cured of diseases and not want for heat or coolness and neither wish to leave or be required to travel because we will live in an oasis where all things desired shall be eternally present since man and earth shall become as one bonded and connected in mutual friendship… indeed peace and prosperity shall rule over the land forever and a day. The prophecy of heaven here on earth shall be fulfilled.
Now how can any republican funded by big oil and big pharma compete with a democrat that offers all of that? I love the environment but any real scientist and biologist would remind us that what we love is also very hostile and in the blink of an eye anyone and everyone could perish and the World would not reflect a sigh of remorse that we were once abundant and dominant. Mother Nature is not really alive, she is but a term used to describe a collection of fauna and flora interacting so as to achieve what is best for their kind. Sometimes what is good for one species is terrible for another but that is the way it is.
Nothing has done more to emancipate man from the cruelty and harshness of his environment than the industrial revolution, which gave birth to the combustion engine that is responsible for mankind’s successful management of his existence by allowing him to use his mind beyond mere basic survival. And without oil there would be no combustion engine.
Someday there may be a substitute for food and water, surgery, medications and even our very bodies as there will be for our dependency on oil. Until that day arrives and the substitute represents a turnkey operation I doubt that any society would willingly give up what they have in the hopes that by doing so an alternative would be developed rapidly by shear necessity. It took a long time to develop vaccines for diseases that ravaged mankind despite the exasperated hope of those affected and the many more that prayed that they would not be victims. The bottom line is that you do not give up something of value until you have something of value to replace it with. Without oil, coal, gas and nuclear energy sources capable of producing massive BTUs and megawatts of power we all weaken, fail to prosper and eventually die. That is a fact, while the alternative is a dream that needs much more time to become a reality.
There is absolutely no compelling reason for the way the left defines and defiles energy except that they have chosen to align themselves with a voting block that itself has grown in influence and controls who gets the money and support necessary for election. Barack Obama is caught in a catch 22 whereby any direction he takes is bad for his victory. The energy debacle has come home to roost (as SS will someday do as well) and this election is timed to occur right in the middle of its’ arrival. Republicans are on the train and democrats are on the tracks and they don’t have the time or the ingenuity to get out of the way.
I wonder how many clueless libs have now over-inflated their tires thinking they will save the Earth! Obama’s gas saving tip only works if your tires are grossly under-inflated and even then, only saves ~4%. Severely under-inflated tires are a safety hazard in addition to wasting small amounts of gas. Over-inflated tires are also a hazard. So, Obama is actually putting people in danger with his clever tip.
We need more gas each year due to economic growth (not to mention the added strain of illegals) and all the dems can do is talk about saving 2 percent here and 3 percent there by airing up tires, driving slower, and driving less.
Let’s say you buy the Lib premise of Global Warming caused by CO2. The answer (if the Libs were intellectually honest) would be to develop electric cars and charge them from the grid powered by Nuclear Power Plants! But, Obama and the Dems would block the “perfect solution”. Nuclear power emits NO CO2! Electric cars emit NO CO2 and yet, this approach is rejected by the Libs! There is literally NO ENERGY SOURCE that the Dems are willing to support! There are plenty of wind currents on the Massachusetts coastline that would serve as a perfect location for wind turbines but the Kennedy family has blocked their construction. America has more coal than any country on Earth and coal is rejected too. Dems will block any and all sources of energy that we will need to maintain our standard of living. They are however, FOR Ethanol since it converts FOOD into energy and raises food prices thus creating more misery. That is because they want Americans to suffer. Miserable Americans without jobs and unable to pay for energy are more apt to vote Democrat and are typically stupid enough to not realize the Democrats CAUSED their misery!
This is a classic Democrat strategy which clearly shows just how diabolical, twisted, and downright Un-American these low-lifes are. They have reached an all-time low of Un-American behavior. They put their political power ahead of their country and their fellow countrymen. In fact, they are deliberately hindering their own country from prospering and hurting their own countrymen in order to consolidate political power!
