A fabulous tribute from Mark to Rush. Mark touched on everything. It was heartfelt, honest and funny all in one. Great One, you are the epitome of a mensch.

“Brevity is the Soul of Wit,” and Mark epitomizes the respect and admiration that Rush Limbaugh so rightly deserves. The King of Conservatism, the Master of Disaster for liberal deception, Rush is more than just a unique broadcaster,

Rush Limbaugh is an American original.

His “daily excursions into broadcast excellence” demonstrate to avid fans or casual listeners his complete grasp on social, political and moral issues, grounded in truth and reinforced by his high regards of the goodness of America.
God Bless you Rush. You have inspired your listeners more than you will ever know.
Happy 20th anniversary and may you be around till every American agrees with you.

I’d have to be homeless, and even then I’d probably find the money (short of moving to San Fran), to fail to keep up my 24/7 Rush membership.

I’ll never forget my wife saying to me that you have to hear this guy speak about “maggot infested, weirdo hairdo, Clinton voting types” when I said, “This is a man I must listen to”. Finally someone said what you knew to be true and didn’t pussyfoot around saying it. He can unabashedly make liberals look that the fools that they are because he understands conservatism. It was through the Rush Limbaugh show where I first heard ML and instantly recognized another great conservative mind that could quickly debunk liberal concepts and lies. We all owe Rush for that contribution.

Rush Limbaugh is the other side of mainstream media. He is the reason that libs seek the fairness doctrine. Reed is still licking his wounds from “the letter” and stretch had at least one extra “stretch job” because of Limbaugh.

There was Bob Grant (another great), who we knew, and then came Limbaugh, who we didn’t know, but we soon did and he quickly gave a life to radio that it never had before. In fact talk radio grew from toddler hood to a mainstream giant, mean and lean, liberal killing machine because of him. It was Limbaugh that really fleshed out the new medium and it was no fluke that President Bush called him on this anniversary. No matter how the World feels about Limbaugh one thing is for certain. They all factor in just what effect he will have on who will be our next President. When a man, who uses a microphone, via a 100 year-old plus technology, can determine who will be the leader of the most powerful Country in the World you have to come to one very simple conclusion. You have to conclude that such a man is probably one of the most powerful people in the world. Time magazine never got that right and neither did the Norwegian dolts that determine who gets the Nobel Price.

As far as I am concerned there are only two types of people in this world– those that understand and love Limbaugh, and are on his side, and those that are otherwise. If they fail to fall into the first category I have neither the time nor inclination to include them in my life.

Sometimes Limbaugh is so good I find myself asking: “Did the Founding Fathers somehow plan on Limbaugh?” In a way the answer is a simple “yes” for it was they that provided the concept, the vision and the documents so that great people like Limbaugh can become the embodiment and fulfillment of the best that a person can become. When I say “God Bless America”, I also often also say, “Thank God for Rush Limbaugh” as well and, if I had it my way, this national treasure’s anniversary would become a National Holiday.

Sorry libs. Just suck it up. There’s more to come!

Every morning, I take my pooch out on the East Bay Regional trail near my house for a hike…….with my earphones on listening to my morning dose of Rush.

    It’s a ritual, a way of life.

Nothing could be better: Winding hillsides, oak trees, a full view of Mt. Diablo, my dog…….and Rush telling us how he knows liberals “like every square inch of his glorious naked body”.

    Classic. Absolutely CLASSIC!

The great thing about listening to Rush during a hillside hike is that I can laugh out loud without anyone around thinking I’m nuts.

I started listening to Rush in 1989. Smarmy, whiney libs were insisting then that he & his show would be dead within two years, a la Morton Downey Jr.

As usual, they were wrong. AGAIN.

That was 19 years ago. 19 years from now, God willing, he’ll STILL be the king.

And to quote Rush himself, “that will have liberals everywhere shaking in their Berkenstocks!”

    LOL!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting comments because retrospectively, and for years, I was running around saying that the World Trade Center would be attacked and destroyed, way before it happened, and no one believed me. When the first plane hit it seemed incredulous that anyone would entertain the possibility, that on a beautiful September morning, a modern commercial passenger jet would accidentally just happen to fly into a tower. Corsi’s positions on a NAU seem wild (and they are) because he looks at it as a conspiracy. Things happen without pressure (conspiracy), such as water flowing down hill and it would seem that a poor Country, with abundant labor resources, next to an industrial giant, would dovetail economically. That means borders would have to somewhat melt.

The reason it hasn’t, and the reason it should not, and the reason that I hope it never does, is because we are politically and socially very much different. More than that we have, to a great extent, become a welfare-oriented society, and our present entitlement system has become a debacle that immigration has only aggravated and, itself, has become the impetus behind why people often come here. Consequently most Americans resist this, and especially conservatives, but you need only check out the pages of the WSJ to see what direction the business community would like us to go. We should be influencing everything south of the border, it should not be the other way around, so I would say instead of a NAU it should have been described as a SAU.

Sometimes I wish that I could get into a time machine and peek at the future. I pretty much know the past. I can just imagine the look on Ben Franklin’s face, if he had access to such a device, and saw NYC and Philadelphia in the late 20th century, with underground electric trains, planes flying overhead, pictures and voices transmitted through the air amidst massively tall buildings, that spread for miles, inhabited by people of every nationality and speaking in every tongue. Likewise I would wonder what incredulous look would be on my face, if I could peek at several areas of the US at the end of the 21st century. When I was born Orlando Florida and Disney World did not exist and I doubt that anyone could image the technology and demographic shifts that would have had to occur to give us what we have today. Corsi sees the future as the planned result of economic forces and I understand his sentiments. I see future plans as designs that often never work the way mice and men thought they would. The NAU is not a myth, or a conspiracy; it is a vision, advanced by some that has led to others to wrongly assume that it is conspiracy when it really is just a prayer, a hope and a dream that scares most of us. If it were really actively on the books I would also be frightened. Corsi knows his stuff and that is why this present book is so good. The fact of the matter is that an Obama Presidency generates far more fear in me than the perception I had about the World Trade Center attack. That said I would suspect that, even to Mr. Corsi, such a happening is even more terrifying than his conspiracy theories about the NAU. This is no conspiracy; it is the real deal.

The good news is that I sincerely doubt Obama will make it, despite McCain.
