ACLU to defend Guantanamo detainees

Mark Levin commented on the news last night that the ACLU will join the defense of al Qaeda’s killers being held at Guantanamo Bay:

On their site (which I will not link to), the ACLU has the supporting statements of several, well known moonbats (my words, not Mark’s), most notable among them is the following statement by Janet Reno, the former United States Attorney General, under the Clinton administration:

The ACLU and NACDL’s efforts to ensure that fundamental American legal protections and principles are preserved in these cases are certainly worthy of support. This is the time to demonstrate to the world that the United States need not abandon its principles, even as it seeks to ensure the safety of its citizens.

“Liberalism is the philosophy of the stupid.” — Mark Levin. Well said, Mark.

Over at MichelleMalkin.com, see-dubya added this gem:

It’s funny: One of Janet Reno’s most significant accomplishments as attorney general was capturing Elian Gonzales and sending him to Cuba. Now she’s trying to get dangerous terrorists out of Cuba and set them free…

The ACLU; protecting America’s enemies since the 1920s….

    …True American traitors.

I am always amazed how these self-aggrandizing defenders of civil liberties do for the enemy. Never for the Catholic Church or the expression clause of the fist Amendment. You can always find them somewhere near a new screwy reinterpretation of the establishment clause or defending NAMBLA. Of course, being trial attorneys and with solid Constitutional footing (???) they are always looking to give privileges, rights and freedom to the worst of our enemies so that they can boast their strict Constitutional morality in allowing the enemy to finish what they started… kill us. The one time that they filed an amicus brief in defense of Limbaugh, in the Palm Beach courthouse, is their great claim to fairness. Like that really convinced us of their other noble intents and purposes.

I say give them several million bucks apiece and send them to Burma for five years with the express mandate to improve civil liberties in that Country. Think about how much good that would do for both Burma and the US. Maybe they can even solve the rice shortage dilemma.

Guys, I know that even TGO has said the political landscape looks very bleak for republicans this election time around, but we have to do everything we can to get a republican majority back in the Congress. 2-4 years of democrats with solid control, padding the courts with more liberal judges, not to say what they’d do with the Supreme Court! It’s too scary to contemplate.

Islamofascists, being religious zealots HATE GODLESS Liberals, and their godless lifestyles. Liberals, such as those from the ACLU, will be the first to have their head severed by these religious zealots.

From these religious extremists’ perspective, Liberals, with their GODLESS outlook on life, and their permissive lifestyles, are the SCUM of society.

Just a reminder to these twisted Libs, just in case they are hallucinating in their own RIGHTEOUSNESS. TRAITORS!
