Chris, Angie, and Sgt Eddie Ryan call Mark Levin

by @ 9:38 pm on February 13, 2008. Filed under Mark Levin Audio, Tim Sumner

Marine Sergeant Eddie Ryan had Mark Levin and his listening audience cracking up tonight as he kidded his dad, Chris Ryan. The Ryan family’s strength and Sgt Eddie’s courage, on the battlefield and since, epitomizes the meaning of ‘Semper Fi.’ We look forward to seeing them all at this year’s Freedom Concert.

Two words Angie said summed up that whole interview. Family core. That said it all.

    God bless the Ryan family.

I listened to this live over the Internet last night and I had to leave the room. It was like I was there and couldn’t do anything. I know what these vigils are like, how important they are and how often the result is not what you want and the loss is so great you can hardly stand it. He is one tough guy and they don’t make too many like him. Thank God he is on our side and every day I live I take a long moment to reflect on people like him that give us their best. We all do our part in this country to keep it great but few are as brave and tough and selfless as Eddie Ryan was (and still is) to make it all work for the rest of us. He is a gift to all of us that still keeps on giving. His best days are yet to come.

I listened to the call with Mr. Ryan senior and the Great One on the radio and it puts everything in perspective for me. These are real people who can be admired for their character and strength – Eddie Ryan is an inspiration to us all for his spirit especially. All the garbage that’s been featured in the news regarding hostilities against the Marines lately sickens me (and I won’t mention any specifics because those involved don’t deserve any recognition along side a fine and decent young soldier like Eddie Ryan) and shows an insanity and cowardice that is overcoming our society. If only we could hear about and showcase more examples of bravery and determination like the situation with this young man, maybe it would wake up and bring people back to their senses.
