How conservative John McCain isn’t

Mark Levin reminded us tonight that Senator John McCain is on the wrong side of many conservative issues, most notably the “Constitutional rights” of terrorists:

“This is the Republican primary and it is time for conservatives to speak up and act. And quit playing games. All the candidates are not the same.”

And then Mark weighed in on the leading libs:

There, he said what far too few conservative pundits seem to have the temerity to say themselves!

This blog is resplendent with posts that have debunked McCains’s pseudo Republican ideology. Ditto’s for his Conservatism which is held to a much higher standard.

McCain’s popularity is based upon a superstructure of misconceptions fertilized and cultivated by an MSM only too eager to give you the closet thing to a liberal that exists as a Republican candidate. And he is no ordinary RINO because in many cases he is more liberal than the left. He is worse than a compromiser because much of his anti-conservative and very liberal ideology had its very genesis with him. He is really nothing more than the liberal proxy of the MSM cross-dressed as a Republican. His job is not to get along but to defeat them and he might be able to do that except for the simple fact that in his heart of heart he agrees with them even more than they agree with themselves. He doesn’t understand conservatism and he doesn’t know what he is doing. Other than being a registered Republican, in favor of the war, he is a liberal in just about every other way.

Why do we have to suffer with a dolt such as this? The answer is simple. Romney is fortunately very wealth and can afford to advertise his position. Fred Thompson is not. McCain on the other hand gets for free what no money can buy. So does Huckabee. They get a press dedicated to supporting them. Anything that the MSM supports is what you don’t want. They are not friends. McCain is their hedged bet should a Democrat get defeated.

Unfortunately there is no equivalent on the other side that would substitute for a Conservative the way McCain substitutes for a Liberal. He is our catch 22. He is our worst best choice.

It is frustrating to see how the media is still up to their old tricks. I see it with Hillary Rotten and how she is the media darling – whatever negative story comes out about her is quickly quashed or overbalanced by some fluffy, milky-toasty stuff about her. Same for Obamination. The media would love any of these 2 knowing that they would be disasters and their viewership and circulation would sky-rocket. On the flip side, McCain is their darling because of what was posted up above. A “wolf” in conservative clothing. Huckabee also seems to be getting the same treatment from the media because he’s easy to ridicule and catch his mistakes. Romney, who’s richer than God, is buying his way to the nomination. He’s no better and with his creepiness factor will get trounced in the general election. Rudy, I keep hoping, will have a renaissance and reject all his liberal, social stances. I can dream can’t I? Fred Thompson, who I’m liking a lot, is the most conservative and honest of the bunch, but you’ll hear only crickets from the media where he’s concerned. No news selling scandals, corruption or baggage – pretty much in line with the current administration. So not a moneymaker for the media. Only a president working for the people. Very telling.

I can’t use the word “conservative” and John McCain in the same sentence without the words “NOT” and “he ain’t worth a crap”…
