The use of the troops for rhetoric is eerily similar to the religion of global warming.

No matter rain nor drought, hot nor cold, snow nor sun, hurricane nor calm, the libs blame man made global warming. To be fair, this is a masterful marketing effort on the part of the scam artists. They don't need to provide any proof, because EVERYTHING is proof.

Lets look at the war in Iraq; No matter if the American troop death count is high nor low, schools are open nor closed, neighborhoods are safe nor dangerous, the liberal answer is defeat. We cannot allow the anti-war left to succeed the same way the environmental wacko's have with global warming. We agree that we need to bring the troops home as soon as possible, we just want to win first.

Thank me for my post!

I have never witnessed in my lifetime the kind of anti-American behavior initiated by these democrats! They will turn on our own president and men and women in the military if it will score them political points no matter which enemy it will benefit instead. They have no intention of giving credit where it's due or supporting the military and its commander-in-chief no matter what the repercussions. I see it even in in our dealings with Iran - they can't even stand with the prez against that maniac over there. Instead they criticize our president as being overzealous?!? We need to get rid of this lot and soon!

What do Michael Isikoff, the NY Times, John Murtha, Harry Reed, Dick Durbin and others from the Democratic leadership and the MSM have in common? When they talk or write people die. Not the enemy but Americans.

When Michael Isikoff wrote the unsubstantiated story about Guantanamo guards flushing a Koran down a toilet scores of innocent people were killed. When Harry Reed states that the Iraq war is lost and John Murtha states that the war is not winnable the enemy is encouraged to persist in fighting which results in more American deaths. When John Murtha, Dick Durbin and the NY Times suggest that Americans are torturing detainees or that Marines are indiscriminately killing Iraqi civilians they legitimize and encourage the killing of additional Americans and also establish an anti-American sentiment among the indigenous residents, who then support the enemy, justifying even further American killings. Some of these people need little encouragement, as recently evidenced when a British teacher, working in the Sudan, innocently named a teddy bear Mohammed, in namesake of one of her students, thereby causing riots to erupt to demand her punishment and death. If anyone is responsible for recruiting Al Quida, Bin Laden and Dr. Zawahiri are a pale second to the US congressional leadership.

When was it ever ostentatiously fashionable, in the bold light of day, using a National forum, to publicly disparage the American military during a time of war as they encounter and engage the enemy in battle… even while we are winning? Viet Nam was the genesis and the Viet Nam era is not over in the minds of these self-styled high-minded moralists. You would think that their constant comparison to Viet Nam would enable them to correct this present course. It wasn’t enough that we previously abandoned a winning strategy, involving a Country with which we had an obligation and commitment based upon a treaty, but we also watched the wholesale annihilation of those who were left behind and struggled to escape internment, re-education, torture and death because they supported us. It wasn’t enough that the killing fields of Cambodia were set in motion knowing that not an American tear of sentimentality would be shed, nor American intervention forthcoming, because of the failure we permitted and accepted in Viet Nam. No, these same pseudo patriots wish to, once again, turn a win into a failure for the sake of personal political victory. What real American patriot would allow the prestige and integrity of their Country, along with tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians, to be sacrificed for politics?

Make no mistake about the motives behind the man that debated the safety of taking a bribe in an abscam sting and deliberately failed to inform the FBI about the operation and the people involved. Make no mistake about the motives of the anti-war architect who was responsible for the drowning of an innocent young campaign worker at Chappaquiddick. Make no mistake about the motives of the Democratic Congress. These people are aware that the recent military success has gotten in the way of their political ambitions. They are carefully parsing the handling of the surge and its’ relative meaning regarding their collective futures. They will balance, to be sure, so that if the success is not long lived they can claim that were always right and if it is permanent they will take the credit for stating we needed more troops in the first place or that Iraq is simply not worth the lives and expense or that it is meaningless unless a political victory simultaneously also coincides. One thing is for certain… they strategize only to regain a political foothold to allow them a victory in 08 and they give not a scintilla of credit or care for the efforts and wisdom of the Administration, the Congressional Republicans and our military sacrifice. Likewise for the greatest Country in the World and the rest of us who love her.

Murtha will apologize to those Haditha marines just as quickly as Hillary will apologize for calling Gen. Patraeus as liar. These creeps stop at nothing. Accept no responsibility, blame everybody else.

INCLUDING those fighting the battle for us.

Can you imagine the shade of "dead ghoul gray" Pelosi's face turned when Murtha uttered the words "the surge is working"??

Frankly, it had to have turned Murtha's stomach to say it. If he didn't think he HAD to at that moment, he wouldn't have.
