Because the left never thought that we lost last November for the reasons we did they mistakenly believe that they were elected because of what they do and are now doing. Not having learned from our mistakes, and paying no attention to the “bluedogs†they will create an epiphany even among the cerebrally limited of our voting constituency.
The only people more stupid than the democrat voters are the people that they help elect.
It’s like deja vu, guys. The Clinton-gruesome-twosome is packaging itself as the only hope for the future. The democrats keep repeating the mantra of the “peace and economic” wonders of the ’90s?!? Say what?!? On Drudge I read how the Gigolo-In-Chief is now challenging protestors that are exposing his weak policy against terror that lead us to 9/11. His white-wash brigade is out in full force to re-write history. We have to work HARD to prevent these 2 from inhabiting the White House again. And not only to get a Republican President, but a Republican Congress the President can work with. Not like the current joke of a Congress we have that would be undermining and sabotaging every step of the way.
Not just any Republican congress like we had a few years ago. We need a Republican congress that has a set, as Mark would say!
From your mouth to God’s ears, MLF. Not a token majority like before, but a true working majority with hard-core conservatives making strides. We need Santorum and Allen back. That would be ideal, but it’s looking kind of scary out there. Especially in Virginia where the media is pushing Mark Warner the democrat down our throats as the natural replacement for John Warner the republican. Another Senate seat we’d lose. And Tom Davis, a wimpy Virginia republican congressman, is now being reported as saying that the base is moving too far conservative and it’s hurting the party ?!? We’ve got to break out of this funk and start rallying or the future looks real grim.
The Dems got a couple of easy legitimate passes from a media that too often gives them free passes to make them look good. The fires in CA will make the “moderate†Governor look good. They are still milking the Libby thing because it was a conviction never mind the “plea†that Berger was smart enough to take to offset any discovery. Never mind that any jury in D.C will find a Republican guilty and the Reno Justice Dept. was smart enough to recognize that no Federal Prosecutor or Clinton appointed judge or democratic jury will find a democratic law breaker guilty. Just look back at the Asian money laundering schemes. Libby was in the wrong location just the way OJ was in the right location.
In affect there is no substantive investigative reporting. Rush calls them the “drive by media†and I call them the “cover-up mediaâ€Â.
The problem with D.C is that even after they “talk the talk†they become victims of the “thousand natural shocks that flesh is heir to†via the MSM and their own wife’s. They become “wobbly†as Thatcher would say. I would have to say a Scalia or Thomas have survived this experience but of the political candidates only Giuliani or possibly Romney has the temperament or the hormones to persist. That is from what I know. I cannot vouch for the others at this time. And you need more than two and they need be large so your wife need also be equipped and on the same page. Half the problem with Arnold is his Austrian socialist background the other half is his socialist wife. Always check out whom someone is sleeping with and who they will eventually party with, before you make the final judgment call.
Yes- Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Conservatism survived his Austrian socialist background, his sojourn in Hollywood, and his marriage to Maria Shriver. But even Conan The Republican has his limits- and it is now clear that the office of Governor Of California has FINALLY made the “Jerkinator” go “around the bend!” He has lost the “tug of war” and has been almost fatally compromised in the eyes of the Conservatives who have supported him for so long. He has “gone native”!! How long before somebody calls HIM a “girlie-man”?? It is a sad spectacle to contemplate.
Arnold was a workout guy who understood, like most immigrants, that the US was the place to be. Unfortunately he was delivered imperfect, having been the recipient of a post-hypnotic suggestion from his native socialist Austrian soil. On top of that he married the closet thing to a Kennedy with strong ties to her master Teddy. She whispers in Arnold’s ear every night. He was not a Manchurian candidate but the effect was the same. He was infected. Like most immigrants and many native born they really know sparse little about real unalienable, self-evident freedom and liberty and get caught up in the compassion mentality not realizing that the devil is always in the details. Quite frankly Arnold is a political animal. He is a survivor and does what is good for Arnold. Albeit… it is hard to be a conservative in a State such as his for the obvious reasons. There are too many liberals in that State. How do you deal with that? Not by changing into one of them but by educating yourself about the US Constitution, the Declaration of Independence and the philosophies of the Founding Fathers that enabled this Country to exemplify those principles that brought him here in the first place. That takes work and effort. When you understand this you can articulate a conservative position and advance a conservative agenda because the liberals have no answers for such a knowledgeable person. He could have, in effect, used his persona as an educator and he would not have been voted out. He is not alone because many conservatives come in differently than they go out. They never had the sound knowledge and understanding that gives them the confidence and ability to beat back the liberal hordes. They need a serious dose of education. My solution is that they listen to ML.
You’re right, task! It takes A LOT of auto-suggestion to withstand the ceaseless hurricane-winds of leftist groupthink propaganda that assail a Conservative politician who arrives in office. Ronald Reagan was able to do this, I think, through his years of giving “The Speech” for GE and on what he called the “mashed-potato circuit” when he first ran for Governor in California. What a task he set for himself! What rehearsals and refinements it must have taken!! What a price he paid!! I suppose that the best way to thank him would be for America to have an overdue revival of Reaganism. Mitt Romney has laid claim to the mantle of “The Reagan Candidate”- or at least that is what NewsMax called him in a cover story! I pray that something like that will be proven to be true!!
