Something stinks in Oslo

by @ 9:34 pm on October 11, 2007. Filed under Mark Levin Audio

Thursday, Mark referred to an article regarding Al Gore which cast some doubts as to the fairness of the selection process for the Nobel Peace Prize. Something doesn’t smell right about the behavior of Al Gore leading up to the selection. Mark vowed to open an investigation if Al Gore won the prize.

Imagine what an investigation like that could reveal!

I think the Great One is on to something! And now that the buffoon is officially sharing the “prize” with his UN cronies, along with Carter and Arafat, the trio of Stooges is complete! On a more serious note, it’s disturbing that something that pretends to be for peace, etc. is being used for political progaganda as is obvious in this case. With the sweet cash ca-ching! that is awarded also, I hope there aren’t any public funds behind this. There are definitely better uses for this cash than awarding it to a clown like Gore for his propaganda movie. What a joke! And you notice how most of these “awards” appear to be liberal front groups – sweet deal to keep awarding recognition to one of your own. I hope the Great One guts this stinking fish.

Winning a Nobel Prize meant something back when scientists were defeating disease, discovering new medicines, or saving the lives of millions of people. In the past, winners received the prize AFTER it was proven they had done these things.

Applying what seems to be the new prize criteria – Smokey the Bear, Patch the Pony (Nay! Nay! From strangers, stay away!), and Michael Moore should be checking their mail for their Nobel Prizes.

It is disgusting that REAL scientists and humanitarians who could really use this prize money are pushed aside for this ‘hippocretin’. Does he really need research dollars, or is this prize going to be used to fuel his jet, cars, enormous home(s), or fill his belly?

It has become clear to me that this prize is now a finger on the hand of the socialist left, and a finger directed at those that tout the anti-American (meaning anti-world power) line.

When Carter and Arafat won, I lost all respect for the people on the selection committee. The Nobel Prize is now equal to getting a Razzie or making Blackwell’s Worst Dressed List.

Seeing the committee’s penchant for tubby white guys, Michael Moore probably IS next…

Glow Bull Worming has nothing to do with “Peace” and the prize itself has turned into a mockery of those who really deserve it.

Was just watching FOX News when the following headline scrolled across the screen about Mr. “Peace Prize”:

“GORE’S MOVIE FOUND TO CONTAIN INACCURARIES”

    DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Scott,

I believe it’s a scientist or professer from Britian who is saying there are 9 or 11 inaccuracies.
A peace prize that awards the honor to Yassar Arafat is a disgrace.
Jimmy Carter was TOLD and it was widely reported by the print media back in 2002 that the only reason he got the award was to embarrass George W. Bush who exactly 5 yrs ago the Senate was debating the resolution to go into Iraq which was not popular in Europe at all.
So what kind of prestige is it to really win won?

Alfred Nobel’s prize has been truly debased. I used to think with pride about how Americans were so disproportionately-well represented among the laureates: Sinclair Lewis, William Faulkner, Ernest Hemingway, Martin Luther King and many others (Jack Kilby of Texas Instruments springs to mind). But now the Prize has been subverted and politicized to the point that I regard its recipients with a grave and bitter suspicion. We should institute the Reagan Prize, and have THAT be awarded to the persons who have most effectively advanced conditions in the world according to Conservative American principles.

Ain’t that nice…the Nobel Committee gives Algore a prize for LIES…

Just another reason the Peace Prize ain’t worth crap.
