Remember the libs’ knee-jerk reaction to Bush saying that you are either with us or against? Bush was telling each nation they had to choose yet the libs took it that he was talking about them. They scoffed and took his words to mean he would brook no dissent from them.
The arrest of Padilla in May 2002 gave the libs their first opportunity to push back when Bush designated him an unlawful combatant. Make no mistake; we have ramped up post-9/11 intelligence to thank for Padilla being arrested in O’Hare airport when he landed in the USA.
The hate-America first lawyers and lib judges forced the Bush administration to turn Padilla over to the feds for trial. Yet that precluded trying him for the dirty bomb conspiracy for it would have revealed national secrets as to how we knew he was coming here for that purpose.
Padilla’s case clearly illustrates two thing. The libs self-identified themselves as the enemy within immediately after Bush’s September 20, 2001, speech. And Bush made a mistake when he failed, in November 2001, to say all terrorists, regardless of nationality or location, would be treated as unlawful combatants. Padilla should have been captured, not arrested, and hauled directly to Guantanamo.
The libs can talk all they want — Bush-Hitler never materialized. Yet their free speech falls on the terrorists’ deaf ears, terrorists kill indiscriminately, and they are just happy that the libs make their job so much easier.
“You’re either with us or against us.”
