Actor John Voight visits with Mark and talks about his career, an upcoming picture, and Hollywood in general. Of course, there was some politics thrown in.
I had a chance to meet and talk with Mr. Voight at the San Diego Freedom Concert and I echo Mark’s comment; he is just a great guy.

The following is what Jon said at the Freedom Concert, unfortunately I could not go, but this needs to be heard
To all your sons, daughters, husbands and fathers who have given their lives for the protection of our country: They are God’s true angels. They are our greatest heroes. You must all stand very proud. Do not be distracted by the politicians who try to pull out our troops before we can claim victory in Iraq. Your loved ones understood that the war must be won. Their lives will not have been given in vain. We will not be overtaken by evil. We must learn from the Second World War, that evil has no understanding of love or heart. We must all continue to pray for a positive outcome in Iraq. May God keep us all strong and on the course of victory. God bless us all. God bless America.â€ÂÂ
I was right up front in San Diego when he read that on stage. The place erupted in applause. What an awesome time…
Thank you, Mr. Voight, for being brave enough to love your country openly (in Hollywood) and acknowledge the sacrifice of our military and their families. Your bio on IMDB gives us a hint as to why you said the words above.

I admire your strength, and pray that someday a certain someone in your life recognizes your wisdom and reaches out to repair the rift.
Talk about a shining beacon in an ocean of pollution.
Thank you, Mr. Voight!
This is a delightful surprise.
What a great statement!!!!
Truly impressed with him during his interview with “The Great One”
I don’t think he’s alone in Hollywood, he just has the guts to speak out.
I suspect a lot of Hollywood are in the closet so to speak, but are scared to death of being black balled.
He spoke of Patricia Heaton in his interview with Mark, another one who has guts. I’ll never forget what she said to Bill O’Reilly when he interviewed her and asked her if she feared never working again because of her views.
She said “When I die, and I have to account for my life, it won’t be Barbra Streisand I’ll be answering to”
