Words cannot express the disgust I have for your cowardly backing of the non-binding HR.63; a.k.a the Al Qaeda Embolden Act.

Sir, your press release is a fraud. In it you state“…and must take this opportunity once again to affirm – that our support for the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces is steadfast and unyielding. As this resolution declares, our first priority must continue to be protecting the brave men and women in uniform, who have served this nation honorably and valiantly.”

If you are cutting off the reinforcements the generals in the ‘theater of operations’ have requested, how sir is that, “protecting the brave men and women in uniform…” It is political posturing plain and simple. HR. 63 is a pathetic joke, a publicity stunt and I hold you responsible for catering to this fiasco.

Congressman, you took an oath of office that is identical to the military enlistment oath with the one exception, our military swear, “…will obey the orders of the President of the United States, and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.”

Are you an officer appointed over them? Are you the Commander-in-Chief? Hardly. General David Petraeus is now the Commander of the Multinational Force in Iraq. He was voted in weeks ago with 81-0 vote of confidence. He said your actions are demoralizing, and he is in charge now.

Please spare me the veiled attempts that you and your party and some spineless Republicans have their best interests in hand. Where was your outrage when the New York Times headlined our covert effort to track international financial transactions by Al Qaeda terrorist operatives? Where was your five-minute speech to condemn the ‘Times? Where was your plea to demand an investigation into their treasonous behavior?

You are putting time constraints on a world wide terrorist epidemic. You and your party offer tired ‘talking point’ platitudes and no solutions. What exactly is your plan for the “new direction?”

I am extremely close to several Gold Star families and they share in my standpoint that HR.63 has weakened our nation’s will and divided our resolve against an enemy that will stop at nothing to convert or destroy us. They have paid with their most sacred blood. Their lost ones comrades are carrying out the mission they started and you are demoralizing and insulting them.

With this non-binding resolution, you have emboldened our enemies. This is indeed a sad day in America. The Democrat Party has put partisan politics above any kind of victory in this global war in terror.

BTW-why is it that Geraldo, Michelle, Laura, O’Reilly, Sean have no trouble finding troops who know what and why they are fighting, want to be allowed to “take off the boxing glove” and go full force into the enemy, and want to finish the job…yet everytime a hardcore lib/Dem Senator gets on the air, he claims that EVERY letter he reads, every trooper he talks to is in a state of confusion, does not want to fight, thinks we should pull out, does not know what his mission is, does not know whom the enemy is?
