Over and over again we’re hearing war critics in the media today comment that Zarqawi’s death is not the end of the war in Iraq, that the enemy has many heads, and that we will be in Iraq for some time. This is interesting. That’s what we hawks have been saying all along. That’s why we’ve been saying that we must not only stay the course, but ramp up our efforts to defeat this enemy. It’s the doves who’ve been talking about “redeployment†and turning tail. But the doves are trying to denigrate today’s accomplishment, i.e., the killing of al-Qaeda’s top commander in Iraq, with a constant drumbeat of defeatism. They believe the war cannot be won. Of course this success doesn’t win the war. Nobody expects it to. But it’s clearly a blow to the enemy. And I expect they’ll suffer many more before this is over.

Mark hits another one outta the park. So on the money. Each day the libs demonstrate their hypocrisy and hatred for this country and our military.
If we redeployed we would have never gotten this guy. Those people who turned him in were not going to email or write a letter to where Murtha or turbin durbin are. As soon as all the rubble is cleared and we find that civilians were killed the MSM and the libs are going to be up in arms, screaming why did we have to resort to bombing that house. As soon as the next bomb goes off they will be yelling about civil war. As soon as the next person is decapitated, they will be screaming its because we killed Zarqawi. As soon as the libs and the MSM come to the conclusion that all this killing can end as soon as these scumbags start acting like human beings, then and only then will we be able to bring our troops home.
Pete, agreed…but in my view, if these “civilians” were there with Zarqawi then they were probably terrorists or at least sympathizers. If children were their, then I blame Zarqawi for their deaths, for bringing them in to the terrorist fold.

I agree with 100% John. I wasnt looking for any sympathy for ANYONE who was in that house with him. I just know what the media is going to run with.
I’m sure that the MSM has their weekend all plotted out, and it won’t be pretty. They’ll all be up there eulogizing that vile piece of steeming excrement, and hoping with all their hearts for a replacement.
