Sponsor a Billboard and Stop the Invasion

by @ 6:33 am on May 26, 2006. Filed under Smooth, Uncategorized

Grassfire.org has kicked off a Stop the Invasion campaign with a giant billboard in Dallas, Texas — where the largest illegal alien protest recently took place. More billboards are going up in Miami (this week), Atlanta (this week), Los Angeles, Phoenix, and other locations.

Now you can sponsor these billboards — by the square foot. Check out Grassfire and the billboard campaign and help continue other vital Grassfire efforts.

I’m more a fan of the “Secure Our Borders” slogan than the “Stop the Invasion” slogan, but this is to be expected after the huge demonstrations in recent months.

Somebody’s hiring the illegals so if citizens want to make a difference they need to report and/or picket businesses operating outside of the law. The “invasion” is made possible largely by cowardly politicans, lax law enforcement, and crooked businesses. Stopping the “invasion” will take a multi-pronged approach. I hope that the campaign will gain enough support to catch Washington’s attention.

Even though most of the pro invasion crowd in the senate are dug in pretty good, I think that if we who oppose the invasion are loud enough and visible enough, some may see the light. But I guess I’m just a glass is half full kind of guy. Then I drain the glass and pour another.

How many signs are we going to put up just in order to offend people? Seriously, what does a giant billboard that says “stop the invasion” accomplish? All it does is degrade the Mexican people and make them feel like they are not wanted. Did you notice that more are going up in Miami, Atlanta, Phoenix, Los Angeles, etc. ? All places where a large minority, and possibly illegal minority live. Again, these sign are for the sole purpose of offending people.

By the way, slightly off-topic: I just talked to a soldier who got back from Iraq (He was a gunner in Bahgdad) and he said that the Iraq war is a total lost cause and that the people do not want us there. How can you argue with that?

Why don’t the Iraqi people put up some signs that say “stop the invasion” ?

  4. MarkLevinFan says:

testfate, you say “these signs are for the sole purpose of offending people.” The truth will offend people, yes. But that is not the purpose of these signs. The purpose is plain and simple; to tell people what’s really happening, since the MSM refuses to!

  5. saxmachine says:

If offending them gets them to go home, all the better.

  6. saxmachine says:

Frankly I’m offended when I walk through Suffern NY, not a border town, and see upwards of 100 illegals waiting to be picked up by contractors. I’m offended when I pull into a service station in Westchester to get directions just to be told in broken spanglish that the attendant doesn’t know where he is much less where the local American Legion Hall is. I’m offended when I call the bank and have to go through several menus one of which prompts me to select English or Spanish, I wouldn’t get that choice in Mexico. I find it offensive when several senators try to curry favor with illegal immigrants by speaking Spanish in campaign ads. And I am greatly offended by my fellow citizens when they call me a nativist and a racist for wanting the laws of my land to be obeyed and enforced.

  7. Long Island Pete says:

We don’t have billboards on Long Island. The billboards stop at the Queens/Nassau County Border. I wish the ILLEGALS would stop at the Mexico/Southern Border. If the truth offends then so be it. Some people call me bald. I find that offensive, so in this PC world I want to be called folically challenged. This way I can throw the word challenged out there and maybe get the cost of Rogaine subsidized by the government.

So testfate, we are supposed to take the position of one soldier and pull out immediately? Did you talk to this soldier in person or on a website? Have you heard from any soldiers, the majority I might add, who say we are doing the right thing in Iraq?

  8. Long Island Pete says:

Saxmachine, if a bartender gave you only a half full glass, I’m sure there would be hell to pay.

  9. DubInDallas says:

testfate, has it occurred to you yet that the only thing that YOU accomplish by persisting in posting your insipid imbecilities here is to offend everyone who has yet deigned to respond to you? That is all that YOU have accomplished!
    Why do you persist?

Why don’t YOU get the feeling that YOU are not wanted here? Why do you expose yourself as the liberal lunkhead that you are? And why don’t you learn not to broadcast your idiocy and ignorance to a forum that has already pegged you for the inferior, oppressive, boring moron that you truly have proven yourself to be- over and over again!

What do you think that your treasonous disregard for the noble purposes and heroic services that have comprised our victories in Afghanistan and Iraq has accomplished- except “to degrade” us and to “offend” us?

Listen testicleface- if you truly want what is best for the nation and for the illegal aliens that now are walking all over us with impunity- you will pull your head out of your repulsive rectum and realize that Americans are only people, and when people lose faith in their duly elected government to protect the very borders of the sovereign nation that truly does belong to them, they will take matters into their own hands.

And when the vigilantes do that, they do not think in humane terms- they do not think of capture and repatriation! They think in terms of “ethnic cleansing” and “Final Solutions”!

So if the billboard that grassfire puts up helps to stir up the citizens of this nation to the degreee that their representatives will do their Constitutionally-ordained duty to secure the borders of this nation in a firm and humane way, then it will have served the purpose of staving off the horrors that history has taught us (over and over again) will follow if they do not!

Testicleface, you still haven’t posted your address so that anyone can come to your house and move in as an “undocumented guest”- you said that “you would leave the light on” for us (you’re a regular Motel 666, you cretinous kumquat!) Why not? Are you scared? And don’t you think that you should be?

If the House Of Representatives falters and does not come through with a meaningful law that doesn’t pander to the illegal aliens, then eventually the people of this nation will take the job into their own hands. And they will not tolerate subversive slimeballs like YOU, either!

So you had better pray that this billboard has its intended and desired effect, because if it doesn’t, YOU WILL BE AMONG THE VERY FIRST TO GO!!

  10. CS says:

    Stop The Invasion? I’ll pass.
How about putting the names of all senators who voted to hand this country over to Mexico on billboards? I would pay for one of those.

testfate, when you can point to any example that socialism has worked anywhere it has been tried then you will be treated with respect. Until then you will be treated as the useful idiot that you are.

  11. Suziq says:

Why don’t 11MILLION of us (LEGAL) just take a walk ALL together, across Presidente Vincente Fox’s home/border & see how he handle the situation !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. firefighter4bush says:

Yes, Kiwon ans CS make a good point. The real issue is the treasonous behavior of the politicians that are selling our country for their own personal reasons.

This is clearly NOT what the majority of americans want, but yet they insist on shoving it down our throats.

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’m offended everytime I get my tax bill!

The concept of thses bill boards is a good one, but the real issue is border security, national security.

When you use the term “invasion” it gives the libs ammo to distract everyone from the real issues.

The real issue is NATIONAL SECURITY! And once again, as on 9/11, the politicians are failing us again!

  13. Smooth says:

tesfate, who are you to determine that all of the United State’s good works are irrelevant? How do you dare to nullify all the lives we have made better, as if they aren’t worth ink on paper? Our country is an arena for many people to succeed where they otherwise would never have a chance, and you and the lefties refuse to acknowledge that because it doesn’t suit your agenda. How about some intellectual honesty on your part, where you acknowledge our foundational goodness? And how about some humanity where you look at our mistakes as places where we need improvement, not excuses to crap on us? What kind of caretaker are you claiming to be? What do you hope to accomplish by beating the US down, rather than propping us up? A better world? Give me a break. Talk about short-sightedness. If we also pay close attention to all the great things we’ve done, all the way down to the grassroots, and all that we share rather than hoard, the only logical conclusion is that there a lot about the US that is good, and which deserves to be a fundamental part of the equation, especially in the face of such an obvious agenda to swing the pendulum in the direction of our enemies. There is always room for improvement, but overall, yeah, we’re the good guys. Hey, if we’re so oppressive, and our negative qualities define us, why do so many people you say we oppress seem to rush here at first chance? It’s because they like us, get it? Go live in a multiethnic city, full of immigrants that are thrilled to live here. Talk to them. Get their stories. Then tell me whom, exactly, your horrendous United States represents. Ask CAIR if they’d prefer to live elsewhere, ok? And I don’t believe your “soldier-came-back-from-Iraq” story for one minute.

  14. Testicleface, YOU offend me!!!
