The immigration laws already in existence are being ignored throughout the country with impunity. It will probably require an immigration version of “Hurricane Katrina” to happen before any real action will take place.
Sgt. Tim “THANK YOU & Xellent call” ….. WE MUST NEVER FORGET what happened on SEPTEMBER 11th, BUDDY !!! Everyone else in the Immigration Dept. should NEVER FORGET EITHER….. WHAT’S AT STAKE HERE !!
Wonderful call Tim! As Mark said, you are a Great American, and we are proud to know you! Keep fighting the fight, and we are with you every step of the way.
“We’re on the way!” Thanks for emphasizing that Tim. We can never forget about all of those selfless 1st responders that were murdered that day. Your brother in-law was one of the 343 that gave their all that day.
I am so proud to call them my brothers for they epitomize the term “The Bravest” May they rest in peace. God bless their families.
So far, the Senate has paid lip service to enforcing our laws.
The so-called Real ID Act of Dec 2004 first watered down what would have tripled border guards and the doubled enforcement agents over 10 years to only 10 and 20 percent increases, respectively. The full increases were needed to effectively guard our borders, apprehend illegal entrants to our nation, and investigate employment violations.
We need:
• comprehensive electronic monitoring of the entire border with Mexico to detect 100% of intruders.
• sufficient guards at established crossing to detect and stop those attempting to enter without authority.
• effective barriers and sufficient agents near population centers and the ability to rapidly deploy agents and equipment to remote locations when intrusions are detected.
• the name records of all government agencies, especially of the social security administration and IRS available to immigration enforcement so those attempting to get services and illegally employed here are detected and apprehended.
• to vigorously prosecute those who willfully ignore the employment law and knowingly employ illegals.
Currently, our identification standards are so low that only those held by the law-abiding are worth the paper and plastic they are made with. Like it or not, the drivers licenses and state photo IDs in our pockets are in fact a national ID card and that identification system is broken. The Real ID Act left each state to figure out how to comply yet our laws require each state to honor the identifications issued by the other 49.
This ignoring the obvious is foolish. We need one ID card, secured by both one central database and card security measures. And we need to stop accepting unsecured foreign ID cards, such as Mexico’s Matricula ID card to open bank accounts and travel around within the United States.
Securing our nation includes securing our borders and ID, as well as enforcing our laws to detect and remove those who come into and are in the United States illegally. “Guest-worker†programs that merely sanctify the mass violation of our laws, leaves our nation so exposed to terrorist and criminal activity, and does nothing to STOP the illegal flow into our nation undermines our security and sovereignty.
Bottom-line; close the borders and punish those knowingly hiring illegals. No more catch and release. If we catch them at the border, shp them home. If we catch them here in the interior, ie, during a traffic stop, arrest them and ship them out. We have to gain control of our security, NOW.
Thank you Tim for the sensible suggestions as to what is actually needed and what is actually feasible. I needed them as a necessary corrective to the ideas that I recently have been harboring with approval- including the implantation of vials of ricin into the bodies of illegal aliens that we could open up through a signal from a geosynchronous satellite!
And it wasn’t April Fools Day when I said it!
I am glad that there are methods that would work that actually should be implemented, and I am glad that you told me what they were.
I am glad that you are still on our side! Happy April Fools’ Day!
Increase the Border Patrol/pay em good money to infiltrate among the corrupt folks along the border ,arrest detain those here then what just trying to get some other responses as, I got my own views but should not print in case someone under the age of 16 reades it. But a special Thanks to those who are there now. Those who were /may be there sounds like a pretty good career move for a young person that would also be good for the country.
Great call Tim. You said it perfectly.
