It’s always refreshing to hear Chris’ voice and to hear that Eddie is indeed making progress. Thank you, Mark, for helping out this family that means so much to me!
Having met this wonderful family, I know what Mark means when he refers to Regular Americans. Eddie, Angie, Felicia, and Chris are the perfect example of what makes this country great. This Family and others in similar situations need our prayers and our thanks, as well as whatever you can give.

Strictly Dirt – an Association of Dirt Track Race Fans will be raising funds for Eddie Ryan at the 15th Annual Middletown Motorsports Show at the Orange County Fairgrounds Friday, 3/17 through Sunday, 3/19.
Our display will include two race cars belonging to the 2005 Smallblock Modified Champion – Jerry Higbie, some vintage racing footage, and a few surprises.
Update: The Marine Corps League and “A Few Good Men” from Stewart AFB will be joining “Strictly Dirt” at the Motorsports Show.
In addition to showing your support for Sgt. Ryan, you’ll enjoy seeing many dirt track racing cars and drivers before they get dirty this coming season.
We might even persuade some of you to attend a dirt track race!
Hey Mark, if your busy schedule allows, we’d really enjoy seeing you!
Strictly Dirt – An Association of Dirt Track Race Fans will be taking part in the 15th Annual Middletown Motorsports Show scheduled for March 17-19 at the Orange County Fairgrounds Arena in Middletown, NY.
Although Strictly Dirt is no longer functioning as a fan club, the organization will continue it’s involvement in the sport of dirt track racing as a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the introduction of children to the sport of dirt track automobile racing.
This year’s exhibit will feature two cars to be campaigned by the 2005 OCFS 358 Modified Champion, Jerry Higbie during upcoming racing season.
The primary purpose of this year’s display is to raise funds for a local Marine who was critically injured while serving in Iraq. Marine Sgt. Eddie Ryan was shot in the head twice and survived through nothing short of a miracle. Sgt. Ryan is currently undergoing rehab at Helen Hayes Hospital in West Haverstraw, NY. Before he can be released, his parents home in Ellenville, NY is in need of extensive and very expensive renovations to accommodate him once released from the hospital.
The display will be manned by members of Strictly Dirt, the Marine Corps League and active duty Marines from the Marine Corps base at Stewart Airport in Newburgh, NY.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for race fans to reach out and help someone who has been on the front lines of protecting our freedoms, and suffered a severe injury while doing so” said Strictly Dirt President Gary Tremper. “This is a local hero from Ellenville, NY who needs our help.”
